Hello Everyone,

I plan to buy a 32 inch LED TV within a month in this festive season.
Budget is 32k. (max). A value for money option preferred.

Requirements are :

  • 32 inch LED - FULL HD display
  • Brands like LG, Sony, Samsung preferred but you can list other VFM options as well as i'm willing to explore all possibilities.
  • 3D, Smart TV functionality not required.
  • Picture quality must be good, speakers need not to be good as i'll be hooking it to external speakers.
  • Connectivity options like HDMI must as i might be using it as computer screen to play movies, videos etc. Other features like DLNA, Miracast would be an added advantage

So please suggest me the best option that would suit me as well as other people who are going to buy a TV this diwali and festive season !! Thanks. :-)

Are you open to grey options? Your budget kinda makes you look at more grey market offerings considering the features you wish.

I personally would recommend the latest w series from sony. Will further check on the new models but from whatever i have checked, they look awesome.

No i would prefer to buy from official stores with extended warranty. I think there would be good options for full hd tv's around 32000 Rs. Anyways thanks for your input and please let me know if you find something interesting in that range. Bye.

The 32 eh4003 would be a good buy imo. Its got good clarity and entry level features which would suffice your needs. Its a bit old in terms of model availability is concerned but it do come with extended warranty inside your budget.

But the Samsung eh4003 is not full HD and it's 6000 Rs. below my budget. I'm sure there are better options.

If you are open for Phillips, 32PFL6577 is a fantastic vfm option. But with the extended warranty this would just exceed your budget.

Have a look at Panasonic Series because IMO it have more color depth and sharpness compared to other brands..!
Go to store compare the clarity of a same picture side by side...;)

its doesnt have support for external audio jack![DOUBLEPOST=1380958985][/DOUBLEPOST]to be frank there is no difference for FHD content on a 32"

OP Can i know what is your viewing distance?

Hey everyone,
I stumbled upon this TV as someone suggested to me. Have a look at these two models from LG which satisfies my needs.
  1. LG 32LN5400 - http://www.lg.com/in/tvs/lg-32LN5400-led-lcd-tvs
  2. LG 32LS4600 - http://www.lg.com/in/tvs/lg-32LS4600-led-lcd-tv
What do you think of these ?
Both are IPS panels, and have good reviews. Priced around 31000 Rs. Let me know if you find the differences between them.
BTW, viewing distance is around 7 feet.[DOUBLEPOST=1381046122][/DOUBLEPOST]

Hello abracadabra,
My viewing distance is around 7-8 feet. Consider the choices i've mentioned above and let me know what you think. Bye.

im also lookin for options, i need to buy 2 tv's for the home, my trusty 7yr old samsung 32lcd's have given up, need one for the parents room / and one for my sister, which models have the warranty extension option? any idea bout costs?

Panasonic is giving 3 years warranty offer, just brought a 24" and 32" xm60d series, picture quality seemed best,
32" was bargained for 25.4K, it is a VA panel, but somehow we found that it had better display then the ips panel which was being offered for around 25, 2 years extended warranty is on display panel only.
if you can increase your budget the e6 series seems to be awesome, but the offering price was somewhat 39k if i remember correctly, but the quality as very good.

I need one too. I'm currently having a 26" Bravia, considering a 32", but still can't make up my mind either to go for 32 or 42 inches! It's a 12/10 room and viewing distance will be 6-7 ft. I've seen a 42" at my friend's, and it looks so awkward! My budget is limited too, around 35-36K. I absolutely don't need any smart features, but full HD with a USB support would be great. I'm eyeing the 32" Bravia W650A, other than Sony I also like Panasonic. Little confused...

I don't think that buying Full HD TV below 42" will help anywhere. I have read the same in some of the older posts in this forum. There was a chart which was showing relation viewing distance with screen size. Let me check if I have saved it.

Meanwhile experts can give their comments, if that is right.

Okay, please check. I really want to avoid that huge size, it looks so awkward!

Hmm, I like Panasonic. Don't know if parents will agree, it's Sony for TV which are serving us for more than two decades! That X-Reality of them, is that hype or ? ?

I think you are talking about this

Hmm, thanks, however I don't quite get the chart.
PS: Okay I think I have found the main article,
http://carltonbale.com/1080p-does-matter/

So those who were saying you won't be able to see any difference to a 1080i picture if your TV is below 42" don't make any sense! With 32" the recommended distance for 1080p is 5 feet, for 42" the distance is 4 feet, I don't but what's the big difference! I think I can full effect of 1080i picture on a 32" TV, if I maintain proper distance! Am I wrong?

Thanks for the link. It also cleared my doubts.

Have you shortlisted any Panasonic model? If yes, please share which one.
