Guys please suggest a good IEM which should be effective with my Lumia 620's output. Currently I am using SM ES18. I am a bass lover but other aspects should also be balanced. My budget is around 1500-1700/-. Thank you.

mh-1c is unrivalled at this price point but cable is bad and it has j split.
or get soundmagic pl 30 for 2000 bucks

sony mh1c may be ur cup of tea.
it has got built mic that works fine with lumia 620.
but i am uncomfortable with flatten cables.

Thanks and sorry for the late reply guys. And btw I am ok with non-mic IEMs, I am used to it this way with my SM ES18, music is my main concern.

Sony MH1C: Depending on your luck, can be bass heavy or bass right. The cable is terrible. But if you can live with that, then it's a great choice. The signature is largely smooth.

LG Quadbeats 2: $30 from eBay (which means long waiting time + while there's very, very less chance of it happening, customs duty depending on your luck). At least on par, if not better than MH1C according to reviews (or head-fi hype machine). Cable is said to be better than MH1C at the very least. I suspect QB2 will be slightly / strongly V or U-shaped compared to the smoother Sony.

E10M could be considered too, though you will need to use the splitter for it work with Nokia.

Brainwavz Delta is another budget choice you may have come across from the head-fi hype machine. But, I feel it has issues in the bass region (just 2 mins of testing before committing to burn-in rig), so it may not suit you coming from ES18. PL30 too is bass-light.

Slightly costlier choices:

Signature Acoustics C-12 : If you want moar bass.

VSonic VSD1S: May be slightly costlier than the above choices. But, said to be one of the best options around $50 mark. You can get it from Hifinage.

i would say he should stay clear of mh-1c as the cable is beyond terrible and the j split just sucks.
vsonics will be the best bet

where do we get sony mh-1c btw

I was going to ask the same[DOUBLEPOST=1387517674][/DOUBLEPOST]@esantosh. Thank you buddy, but Vsonic, E10M and Signature are way above my budget. I daily travel a lot (marketing) so cant risk those expensive ones. BTW can you tell me the cost of Brainwavz Delta and where can I find them on any online Indian site?

How are CX180 II and Sony MDR-XB30EX ? I am more into Dubstep/electro/trance and some rock and house.[DOUBLEPOST=1387517929][/DOUBLEPOST]Just so you guys know, I've used Skullcandy Raasta In-ears, EP630, JVC Marshmallow before ES18 so this is my first time I am investing little more than before into IEMs ;)

Sony MH1 Live: http://www.ebay.in/itm/OEM-Original...-In-Ear-Remote-Stereo-Handsfree-/221298629528

SQ is the same as MH1C, but the TRRS plug is different. Refer to clieOS review for the differences. Some have got it for 1K in Bangalore, don't know where.

@monty_2009,

Brainwavz Delta is not available in India. It costs $22.50 at MP4Nation with free registered airmail shipping. Mine arrived in 17 days (No customs). But as I said, it's light on bass and the bass quality did not feel good in my ultra-small session for testing.

No idea about CX180 II and XB30EX - I am guessing they would have plenty of bass.

Why don't you try Philips SHE3590? Small, comfortable, slightly less bass quantity may be. A head-fi review here. SHE3595 (White / Black) comes with mic. Not sure if 3595 will work with Nokia though, but it is known to work with iPhone. The older SHE9700 model is supposed to be 'bass-head' IEM.

I have only tried the Philips SHE3570 and I can vouch for the small size and comfort of 3590 (same housing). But Philips' multiple models and naming conventions leave me confused. So, better to take Head-fi's help when you decide on a model number.

@sardar17

I have used a few IEMs with J-Cord. Not an issue for me.

to make them compatible(mh1) u need omtp to ctia connector,u need to shell out another 500 rs
but nokia and older sony ericsson sets ollow the omtp connector only
so no need for that

Thanks guys. BTW I've zeroed in on Signature Acoustics C-12. Will increase my budget for it ;). Its for 1990/- on shopclues(shipped by proaudiohome) and 2098/- on snapdeal.

About MH1c, in my experience the flat cables can take some used to, I used to find the J cable very obtrusive until I figured out how to wear them properly!

I'll attach a pic about how it needs to be worn behind the neck.

I don't find the J Cable obtrusive anymore after wearing them correctly but rather convenient and with lumia 620 it pairs very well. Mic is an added convenience too! At for the price I think it's unbeatable if you like a warm and sweet presentation!

mh1/mh1c all the way if you can manage flat cable, i was thinking to recable them, but then thought lol recabling is thrice the price of IEM anyway.
Try getting E10, you wont be dissapointed for the price, if you cant get them for 2k, i could sell mine.
Just get the mh1 and show me that god damn smile.
;)

I am already zeroed in on E10, I don't need mic so opting out mh1 and also didn't like the idea of its controls hanging out near my face. :D
