I have TP-Link TL-MR3420 router connected to my desktop via cable.

The problem I'm facing for past few days is that the downloads on desktop are terribly slow. Even sites like YouTube, Facebook, Google Image Search or Map are not rendered completely. YouTube videos don't show up. Even downloading from YouTube downloaders starts at 20KBps and drops to 0 or it doesn't start at all.

On the other hand, the Wi-Fi is working perfectly fine. I just installed Fruit Ninja in my phone and there was no problem with the download.

Any suggestions what could be wrong with the Router or my PC?

Are you using opendns? I had same problem last week when using opendns, pc browsing through lan or wifi was ..... but wifi on mobile was great.

I also have the same router. Try removing dns and use the isp default dns for some time.

Have you done a virus scan. 2 yeard back my browsing speed was pathetically slow yet on torrent i was able to get full speed dowload.I argued with technician a lot and he said that he had done all troubleshooting and everything was perfect from their end. I finaly installed an antivirus software and came to know there were more than 20 instances of virus. Once these were deleted, my PC was back to BAU

Update on the situation.

Whenever I disable Avast shields, there is no problem.

When shields are active, then the crawling starts.

I've been using Avast for almost 7 years but this is the first time I'm facing issue like this. :(
