Getting annoying ads in Chrome

I am using Chrome and am getting many ads in my web page even when I have installed a Adblock on it. Please help me to get rid of these ads.

Don't get them, install Adblock. Just Adblock. Not Adblock plus or anything.

I see you have installed both ABP and Adblock.
Remove both first then install Adblock alone, restart Chrome.

Its probably because some extension has been installed into Chrome recently by you. Did you even uncheck any toolbar installations or you blindly installed the programs ?
Check your Tools > Extensions ; for any suspects.
A few like these mentioned below can cause the ads coming in

• FunDial
• FunMoods
• MyStart.incredimail.com or MyStart.incredibar.com
• PlusNetwork.com
• Search.Conduit.com
• SweetIM
• SearchNu.com
• Delta Search
• Pinterest.aot.im
• Search.snap.do
• Qvo6 or Portaldosites.com

You have got some malware on your computer clean them to stop annoying ads. TE have only Google ads on my PC.

I second @abracadabra . One of the chrome extensions is causing the problem. Figure out that extension and uninstall the same.

Its a problem with one of the extensions - I had something that I installed (something like a dictionary app or something) and it used to pop up with similar ads - Got rid of that extension and its all hunky dory now.

BTW I have ABP installed and that's not the culprit. (just saying 'cos there's a few posts which say remove ABP and install just adblock or something similar)
