Yes yes yes, they charge for listing, it's very minimal, but they do, doesn't matter if it sells or not.

can you tell me wht these charges are ? if it does not sell ?. im looking to put it maybe 15-30 days max.

Do bit research before posting anything better for u also better for who is asking the question.

http://pages.ebay.in/help/sell/insertion-fee.html

There are no fees for basic listing with no addons.Dont try to act oversmart all the time , not the first time i have listed stuff on ebay , all ready have more than 300 selling transactions, educate yourself instead.

U only get charged paisapay fee and listing fee if item is SOLD,if not sold u PAY NADA.

If u use basic selling structure without any addons , there are no fees , if u change 7 days to 30 days ,ofcourse u pay a fee.If u add extra pictures u pay a fee.

If buyer pays it and you are unable to ship it,money will automatically get refunded after the shipping timeline expires ...and the buyer might leave u negative feedback if he feels agitated.

Act smart really sounds funny from some one like u......call eBay and ask then first few listings are free after that they charge u for listings, Also pictures are now free u can upload upto i think 12 pics for free.

Also mind sharing a screen shot of the eBay invoice where u had paid the eBay charges.

GO EDUCATE URSELF FIRST.

Please stop being arrogant by contradicting yourself.

@OP.

Yes. there are charges for your listing according to the listing type. That will be the more accurate answer.

Try selling on ebay for once , instead of just reading the theory.Read the last post to understand what i typed , and now quoting you "that will better for you and for everyone else".

Well I can't give you exact figure, because I have not sold anything in past six months via eBay sorry. But if I remember right, they charged me around 20 rupees for posting an ad, the item was NOT sold. And while creating the ad the total ad cost was 2 rupees, that's the surprising part. I have listed just 4 or 5 items on eBay so far, I mean which were not sold, and they charged me for each listing, I am 100% sure about that.
But as I said the charge is minimal, so unless the item is very cheap it shouldn't be a problem.

Go read the link i posted first......also if u had sold more then 300 items post a eBay invoice let's us see how they charge sellers.

My personal experience corroborates with what prateek has said. I have listed my stuff on ebay many times for free. I have also relisted unsold items a few times and no charges were levied by ebay. I had to pay ebay fees only when the item was sold. All this was around 6 months back, so I'm not aware if the rules have changed now.

@OP, just goto ebay and try to list an item and ebay will automatically tell you its listing charges, if any and then you can decide if you want to continue listing or cancel it. It should be absolutely free if you upload up to 3 (or is it 12) images and list it for 7 days.

first few listings are free but after few deals we have to pay some listing charges which is almost negligible 4~5rs
