So any WD drives from US has intl warranty?.

From what I have heard they have out of region warranty in India where they can be RMAes but only a limited no of times, twice a year IIRC. Prateeks has already got one of his WD external RMAed that he bought from Amazon. Even I am looking to buy 4TB WD Red from Amazon once my Lumia 1520 gets sold.

Great and I just purchased one for 8650!
The one I got had 'out of region' warranty too, so asked WD, and this was there reply, however I don't believe it has international warranty.

OUT OF REGION WARRANTY = Imported piece=INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY

If it says out of region warranty for your drive , it has warranty in India.
