Funny.. right? No.. Its actually possible..
Most of the content now a days is either p2p or from popular video streaming sites > So Caching all the way.
The owner is doing exactly what i planned to do (Don't know whether i will do such thing in future?), offering high data for the Growing demand of High speed internet for High Definition content.
rough estimate is these guys are proposing a FUP 10x what is possible currently.

How does the math work out here, how did they arrive at those figures.

If this ISP gets funded by some firm like the one's who funded Beam telecom, This ISP will make whole India Cry!! Hoping to see this ISP in my area. Just the kind of stuff i wanted :woot:

Website: https://www.broadnet.in/home-tariff-plans/ ( use firefox) SSL breaks in Chrome.

LONG LIVE PEOPLE WITH SUCH THOUGHTS (Including me!! :D)
And the biggest question is if this was so easy what's stopped the more established players from doing this already.

They don't need funding, hell they're investing outside India already, see airtel.

Well I am unsure how they planned to offer 1 TB of data just for 999? But Bandwidth prices have seriously dropped a lot.
If an ISP can offer 4mbps truly unlimited for 666 (pioneer), then an ISP can also offer 10mbps up to 500 or 600Gb (1Tb looks unprofitable) also. Works well on the law of averages because 90% of them are not heavy downloaders and there's heavy caching anways.

I am trying to lay my hands on this connection as soon as possible.

@blkrb0t That's a brilliant marketing technique!

Meanwhile, people in non-metro cities are still stuck with BSNL's absurd plans. :banghead:

I am stuck to either BSNL or Airtel, FML
I seriously hope something ( anything ) better launches in Noida soon. Hyderabad seems to get all the good ISPs for some reason

Hello swatkats im here to pass more information regarding this ISP!!! They are planning to convert hyderabad into WiFi mesh network by this year end. So that broadnet users can access hotspots around the city with their username and password without any extra charges.

That's an Good Idea.
- How about wired broadband expansion and what's the technology being used for wired setup? FTTH/N/B?
- Many people are wondering how such large data caps are possible?
- What's the ETA for this ISP to expand to central zone or at least areas near ECIL like malkajgiri etc..

Looks like it is going to be long time before they go mainstream. Any reviews yet?

May be 1year more if they are serious. I am not expecting them in central Hyderabad or to the south of the city so soon. If they are able to bring some competition near ECIL or nearer areas, Beam will Respond as their FUP caps Sucks!

Slight OT, but isn't it time for Beam's yearly speed and FUP upgrade?

According to New Telecom policy minimum Speeds have to be 2mbps ( Not post FUP) from 2015, So i guess we cant expect an upgrade until Nov/december.

How did you happen to know this? Just a guess or know someone working or belong to that firm?
