Yes accessories and soon many more products like Studds Helmets etc and some more premium cases for phones like Ferrari...

^if I am not wrong, you don't have meet in person. You have to send your documents like address proof etc and also have to pay Dealership fee.

Yeah i know that because i was Dealer here 1 or 2 years back. But i am thinking something else and better than Dealer Paradise.

One topic per day on average seems a bit compromising on the quality part.

A few ideas offhand :
There is no need to look at money negatively. It is naive. If ads can be put without being too intrusive, or bandwidth hungry, I doubt if anyone would mind. Prefereably stick to ads that are static, like in magazines. These google or similar cookie based ads tend to be too bandwidth hungry. Take a poll about page layout among users to see how many and where ads are tolerated.
You need a marketing team, if only to get new gadgets of companies reviewed by the community. Create a pool of experienced reviewers in each city, so that any new gadget can be reviewed and ranked. Hard sell your community size, and the number of active members. IN this age of twitter and FB, you will be able to leverage your community without breaking a sweat.
Mods in charge of a subforum, can and should be rewarded for bringing in the eyeballs. More eyeballs means you can charge higher for ads in these sections, and reward mods accordingly.

More ideas will drop in, if you think from a monetary angle.

Not too sure about the ads part but yes completely agree on the marketing team (though again not feasible I feel) and on the reviewers part. In fact the latter is something that we are interested in looking into.[DOUBLEPOST=1402432233][/DOUBLEPOST]Thanks everyone who have expressed interest in being part of the staff team. I would be responding to each of you soon. Hope you have all taken note of the one thread a day on average part. That is essential under the current circumstances.

I would love to apply to the Market section, I spend most of my time there. Have been on TE for quite sometime now. Let me know.

Trouble is, everyone wants to moderate the market section. I doubt we even need moderation there. It seems to be handling itself well on its own.

I've sent 4 PMs (all in one conversation, though). Any particular reason for not replying, or are nobody's PMs being replied to, and this is a matter of policy.

Not replying to any PMs as of now. Will reply towards the end of the selection process. That's why updating in this thread instead.

I am surprised that no one has volunteered for the Consumer Electronics section. Nor for broadband, networking and world wide web either.

We are almost on the final stages of finalizing the moderators. Deliberation between staff members is underway. At this point I would like to remind you all that if you are selected then you must take care of the uptake of your section. This at the very least means one new value adding thread each day on an average. This is of course flexible since our offline lives always take priority.

We would do the initial hand holding in terms of the moderation. So that is not a concern.

I guess you could have specified sections which require moderators right from the start.
Or now you can assign people who have put their names in to such sections as an alternative.
