suggest a mifi router

Looking to get a mifi router that can be used to share 3g/4g using inbuilt Sim slot.
Should have inbuilt battery.
Budget no bar but would be better if it's as cheap as possible.
Any good one which can be used globally? I think it won't matter as long as it can read the inserted sim

I was looking for a similar router. Permission from OP for posting my query here as well.

1. It should have inbuilt 4g as well as 3G modem
2. Portability not an issue
3. Range should be good enough for a 2BHK.
4. Not too costly(prefer quality)

Anyone?

Why not use a TP-Link MR3020 with a 3G/4G dongle?

MiFi device may cost a lot since it is a niche product. Router + dongle will cost much less and you will get a more versatile device as well.

I guess we have to wait till Reliance Jio is launched. The prices will go down for the modems and we will see some new entrants too.

It is smaller and has inbuilt battery. It has 3g/4g so my brother can use either. Also I have 2 dongles already but 3g only.
Also my brother is too careless and will probably lose the dongle

A bit late, but I have used ZTE Mowi. Picked up for office twice at 999 each. Works great, hell the range is good.

Too costly. Better to buy a used 3g phone and use hotspot

^ +1 to that. I use an old Samsung Ace Duos (GT S6802) for the purpose. Range is comfortable withing 20ft (it will not meet the you requirement) . Also the data plan are cheaper than that of dongles.
