Car & Bike Anyone rented from Zoomcar, wanna try a mercedes on my bday

My Bday coming next week and wanted to ride a Mercedes that i have always dreamed of driving. Anyone tried zoomcar rental ? for like 5 hours and unlimited fuel i just have to spend like 1400 only. anyone know if there is any catch or hidden thing if they have tried it? http://www.zoomcar.com/delhi
 
Its not unlimited ride. There is a cap on no of kms that you can drive per hour/day in that amount.
Extra kms are charged extra.
Even after all this the rates are very reasonable and if you are planning to treat yourself on your bday then I say go for it :)

From what I have heard they are pretty good, at least in Bangalore. A colleague of mine had taken swift for an outstation trip and his friend crashed the car - bumper got crushed. (thankfully no one was hurt), they only charged the 5k damage.
 
The pricing is very reasonable. Earlier it was 10km/hr. I don't know what it is now. The Figo I had received was very filthy. I made them change it but the two cars they came with were in the same condition. The reason they gave was that all the cars had come late at night and they couldn't get them washed and cleaned as my booking was early morning. I think they might keep the Mercedes in better shape.

just like your merc, you can "rent" girls too. :p

that's the default amount for zoomcar, whether you wreck bumper or the whole car. but looking at how people treat rented cars, insurance companies are going to force them to increase the security deposit. other car rental companies are already "blocking" a huge amount upon booking.
 
wish they also had actual pics of the cars and what variant it is. once i marry il go to dubai and rent a lambo there too , you can even ride it around a racetrack there.[DOUBLEPOST=1442997041][/DOUBLEPOST]

haha , no rental girls as they have diseases i don't want. its a good thing then to book now as later on security etc and charges will be raised.
 
What if they purposely handover a damaged car which we cant see but during returning they might say you damaged it and etc.
Cant this happen?
 
^^ it can happen to anyone, anywhere... even while purchasing new cars. so, the onus is on the end user/buyer/customer to inspect the vehicle before leaving the premises. PDIs

i will videotape the whole car if any scratches i see so they cant say u did it

I'm speaking about non-visible faults like something technical under the hood or ICE etc.
 
Thanks to this thread, signed up on zoomcar too :D now thinking about renting a Merc GLA on a Sunday morning to drive around for the minimum 4 hrs which is currently showing as Rs. 1,680/- with the standard 5k refundable deposit!
 
I meant to say "on a Sunday" not this Sunday :D It might be after a few weeks, but will try to remember to take pics and post them here :)
 
Can anybody tell me rough fig. how much will be a charge to rent Honda city for 3 days going out of town 250kms?

Kms don't matter in your case. You can actually drive 720kms if you rent it for 3 days. The daily/hourly rates should be available on their website. Just multiply that with the no of days/hours you want to rent it for.
The only point I don't like about this service is that pick-up and return points have to be the same. Maybe that will change once they become bigger.
