51-70k Need laptop buying suggestions

1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)

50-60k(can stretch to 65K)

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

14 or 15.6 inches.

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?

Programming,Web browsing and lightweight activities.

4) Anything else you would like to say?

OS - Windows 10
RAM - 8GB
Processor - i5.
Graphics - Onboard graphics.
256SSD or HDD with atleast 128GB SSD - Which one would be better considering the option for future upgrades if needed?.
Purchase place - Offline/Official company website.Bit hesitant to use Flipkart or Amazon as I do not want any hassles with warranty issues. Is there any need for such concerns?.
Brand preference - Dell,HP,Lenovo.

Better to buy i5 8250U with 8GB ram and hdd and then add extra ram and hdd later. for programming 8GB is bare minimum. 16GB is required while compiling and running a virtual image like example an app in Android Studio.

I think its better to go to HP shop and ask them to customize your laptop for you. That way you can save money on windows 10 pro license. Instead of 8GB ram make it 16GB. Instead of 1TB hdd, ask them to put 256GB ssd. And ask windows 10 pro instead of windows 10 home. Take extra 1 or 2 years warranty if they sell it too. Never know what can go wrong in these things.

40K would be laptop price if you go in store at that amazon specs. For additional 8GB memory they will charge around 5k extra and ssd price would be around 8k if they don't agree to replace 1TB hdd. Windows 10 pro i don't know how much it will cost for oem license. you can get it here also for 500 rupees if you know which thread to look at.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do they allow customizations for all models or do they have kind of preset modifications defined for some models?
 
@superman Anyway you can get laptop from states ? My family member got Dell make i5-8250U/8GB DDR4/256GB SSD/15.6" FHD screen for ~38K.

I searched HP India site and this model is not there. Its there on HP Polish or Czech? site.

So probably, no support here. Also all the modifications like putting in additional ram and ssd, you will have to do by yourself.

This is the nearest HP india sells - core i5 8th gen with 4GB ram for 43k. 4GB is unusable for a laptop imo.

Sadly, getting the laptop from USA not an option for me at this moment

You mean to say upgrading ram and SSD would void warranty?. I was assuming HP allowed "authorized" upgrades keeping the warranty intact
 
no i meant, the product is not made in India and is most probably imported. I don't know if HP honors global warranty. upgrading ram and adding ssd will not void warranty. anyway HP india only gives 1 year warranty and no warranty extension so it won't matter if laptop is imported or not. ask the seller if the laptop has india warranty and if it can be upgraded.

After some searching, I saw that at 42-43K you will get USA imported laptops on ebay with 12GB ram. The laptops didn't have full hd screen or ssd though. maybe try asking ebay sellers if they can give you the type of laptop you want.

scratch that. most of them are core i5/i7 7th gen. 8th gen is faster than 7th gen i7. i'll link to that video i saw on youtube.
