However, @Slayer88 could also perform a sysprep generalize to remove all hardware related data (including drivers) from the existing installation to streamline the process. Since NT 6.x, the Windows HAL is smart enough to handle major hardware change on the fly.

How do u manage game progress when you format? And yes, I'll do a fresh install with GPT. ThanksI never back up, reinstallation is best. You need one anyway. Even an updated windows does not work properly. If possible format ssd/hdd with GPT partition type and do it. It is boring but will give a lot less issues in the future.

thats not an issue windows will update itself drivers etc ,and keep the mess as it is no user files will be touchednope, unless your c drive is a mess![]()
