Minimum recharge for Vi India (Vodafone) to keep both Incoming/Outgoing Calls and Sms working ?

Futureized

Since Vodafone India SIM card only for transaction related purposes (banking etc.) only require Phone Calls and SMS active.
(data is not needed at all, this SIM card is disabled in my phone settings and only enable when needed)

Had a prepaid plan bought few years ago (under 200 INR) which Vodafone discontinued last year, was able to receive SMS messages and helped me continue with my banking/shopping related OTP requirements and only Incoming calls, but since it is discontinued now.

Looking forward for a plan which can allow incoming/outgoing sms and phone call facility.
Kindly suggest/guide accordingly.

99 rs recharge is minimum to keep number active also has full talktime of rs 99 which can be used in outgoing calls but has no outgoing sms
Thanks but this shall be of not real use, found this 99 INR option as well.
My last minimum recharge done was for 250 or 299 via amazon for a month expiring in 48 hours. (both calls/sms)

As using UPI payments as well frequently for daily routine and many times requires outgoing SMS.. and to register on new important services/sites with Vodafone SIM

A better option would be to port out to cheaper operators such as MTNL/BSNL or change your contact information in banks to the current active number you recharge.
I was in the same boat and I was too lazy to go to MTNL office and fill out forms for porting so I changed my number in banks (via net banking or ATMs) and almost all places.

Only place left is aadhar but its OTP comes on Email as well as SMS so I don't recharge my vodafone SIM at all since years but I still get incoming SMS.

Wasnt aware about MTNL, can you guide to best plan for same ?
Found this: https://mtnlmumbai.in/index.php/mobile/3g-prepaid/prepaid-base-plans#ftu-24

Dont wish to change plan to current active number as its public due to nature of job, 2nd sim is kept specifically for banking/shopping (safety/security reasons).

MTNL is under 1KM for me, so not much hassle, kindly guide on plan and documents required, just checked there website and they are providing 3g services, hope that wont be an issue.

IIRC they provide 3G and 2G services. Since you just need this number for calls/SMS purpose it's fine.
Plans differ from Delhi circle but on that page you see 24 and 91 INR plan with their benefits. Those seem to be FRC plans (first recharge) with long validity. On top of that you'll have to do the normal value top up for talktime which are here: https://mtnlmumbai.in/index.php/mobile/3g-prepaid/3g-top-up

So there's significant savings. Documents would be of course your ID proof and a passport size photograph if they still doing manual paper work.

So what's the minimum Vi recharge amount to avail outgoing SMS? Could someone pls confirm at the earliest? Last time I checked it was 128/129 rs, but I'm not sure whether those are available now. The concerned no. is from WB circle.

It was 199 for me, validity 28 days.

As someone who used MTNL SIM card for more than 11 years. I would rather have my fingers cut off then touch a MTNL SIM card again. Using their services is genuinely worse than 3rd degree torture and I b am not even joking.
