Try reporting the number to TRAI's DND complaint system.
Well I checked on Truecaller and the number is not reported to be used for telemarketing reasons. It comes up clean on the name of Sanjay G (omitted full last name for privacy).
He talked in a rowdy voice to sound threatening but I knew the person on the other side knows nothing about me except for my name (probably not full name) since when I asked who he wants to talk to he mentioned my first name only. I talked politely to ask who he is and his purpose but his attitude was same and insisted on knowing my location.

I got angry and cut the call, blocked him and reported on truecaller as scammer/threatening. Nothing further has happened since then. Incident happened on 9th Dec 2022.

'What is your final price' - always tired of this phrase in selling something in OLX. I feel it should not happen in TE since members are well versed and focussed and do not time pass in initiating a conversation.

Had a buyer do this recently. Finalized the deal and requested for payment details. After payment details shared, buyer backs out.
Totally unacceptable.
When did he say that? Right after you shared payment details or did he ghost you?
I feel there's nothing wrong if he replied he doesn't wanna go with it without wasting your time. Sometimes fomo kicks in before brain can react.

Yes acceptable if the buyer has made a hasty decision and informs accordingly and promptly. This was not the case.
After sharing payment details, there was no response from him. So decided to give him few hours to make the payment. Reminded him after approx 2 hours. He says he will do it tomorrow morning. After reminding in the morning, he informs that he is not interested.
Complete waste of time after finalizing a deal and moreover after taking payment details.

What I find a bit annoying is people saying 'I'm interested in buying this, WhatsApp me on xxxxx' and the you go though the hassle of sharing your number only to receive a lowball offer. As a result I tell people, if you're fine with the price, I'll WhatsApp you. Else please ask your questions on TE itself!

Never ever do this. Keep all conversations on TE DMs. Let all communication be in one location and one thread. There will be no scope for miscommunication, I told you there not here, no privacy concerns too with sharing phone numbers.

If they insist on chatting on Whatsapp, you know they belong to this crowd. Avoid them like the plague.

I guess if payment details have been shared and then the buyer backs out , then an infraction must be given to the buyer .
If payment details not shared and buyer then ghosts seller , nothing can be done . It's fair game then I guess .
This should be taken seriously with the mods with regard to identity theft possibilities .

I recently posted a sale thread of a smartphone.
A Member contacts me and asks for 'best price' instead of offering. He had joined here on 2014 btw. I respect each and every members but a little bit more who are here from a long long time.

Is it ok that i am little pissed to this OR is it just me and i should calm myself down?
That screenshot felt like street bargaining you do at chappal stalls or fish market, where vendor says 250 and people know its an inflated price and the counter with 100. I burst out laughing when i read that counter offer.

dont get the concept of asking for 'best price' tbh. this is just trying to negotiate without knowing how to.
I sometimes ask for 'best price' only when the seller has mentioned the price is negotiable, and by asking 'best price' I am trying to understand sellers no regret price for that product.

Along with the ones mentioned here by many members, one behaviour I've been observing lately is by the recruits.

Whenever I see a recruite member posting "interested, please dm since I'm unable to" on a sale thread, and once you send them a DM, the chances of them reverting back are less than 10%.

Happened 3 times with me, and I observe the same on other threads too.

Agreed, this happens with some new/unusual sellers too. People post FS threads and just ghost them immediately.

While I agree with you to a great extent, it's truly faster and more convenient to close a deal on WhatsApp. Perhaps on Tapatalk it's simpler but otherwise, messaging on TE can be a bit slow. Also, for some products and some members I like to send videos of the packaging, functioning, stress test, etc. which is much easier on WA. Also, in many cases, at least with me, a WhatsApp chat/connection tends to grow into a friendship too.

Exactly.
Edit: deleted because i feel like calming myself down.

In this case what works best is to visit the nearest police station and explain them the harassment faced, cops will dial the number from their landline and then you can be at peace forever!
Thats something I have been practicing,,..

However offering 12k is low-balling territory and usually given a warning in the market section. Report his PM.
Report his PM? Why??? That's Crazy, Eddy!
First it happened in PM. Secondly it's not like the member committed any crime or broke any forum rule.
The best thing the seller can do here is to just ignore and move on.
There's no reason to report this kind of conversation. Negotiation is a standard market practice. "Lowballers" should just be ignored.

I here you.

Faced few unusual instances in past weeks..
One guy bargains for a mere 30 bucks shipping charge.
Other guy vouches on something and backs-off without informing.
Someone's sale threads are locked and refusing to share his contact no. when contacted on pm.
Few deleting their WhatsApp messages as if we are playing bf gf break-up game.

Seriously is this forum losing it all.
