Forum Feedback Requesting- Do's and Don't s and a Warning system in place

Ban is for breaking rules that are in place.
Agreed but for skilled/adept etc. sr. member, an instant ban is very harsh and also disrespectful.

Now, even for Sr. members, we should have a simple Do's and Don'ts instruction list which can help them prevent entering the red zone aka prevention from getting banned!

We are humans, can make mistakes and nothing is perfect anywhere.
Exactly! but an instant ban isn't a solution to counter such issue. We can have something like a 3 stage/level warning system per member with a certain cool-down period. If the member commits same/similar repetitive mistakes in spite of warnings then he should be liable for a permanent ban!

Everyone has welcomed the restrictions on new user policy which is very logical and fair as well esp. considering the many fraudulent trend we witnessed in past year.
But IMHO seniors been treated the same way is unfair and rude.

These members are here having contributed for so many years. We are a growing community and not to say we literally got some good SMEs among us.

We do not want this forum to end up been like another erodov/olx where newbies are joining only for the sake of selling and with no technical discussions happening.

We have faith in the system/mods and I'm sure mods can come-up with some type of warning system as we did had it earlier. Not an expert to comment on the forum software but some plugin or add-ons if available offering such systems can be used to counter issues.

An amicable open discussion on this topic between the mods and members can have a better clarity wrt suggestions, ideas and solutions!

Ban without giving any reason is just abuse of power, why would users stick to such platform where they don't have a say (Forums are meant for discussions anyway)
Your choice whether to stick with such a place. I'm on a board that is ban crazy. The guys are ex-mil so that's how they roll. They run a very tight ship.

You can't even talk about it and if you dare them you will be offed. Including long time senior members

Didn't know that the forum is supposed to be militaristic in nature, and/or that the kind of discussions we do are life or death in nature.

I am not asking for any special treatment for senior members, Just follow basic rules (I am banning someone = this is a reason, A 1 liner is fine as well) especially when they are ex-mil then the rules matters more than anything.

Just authoritarian

I'm not referring to this place which is the exact opposite

Who was banned like that? Please tell
Wouldn't a list of dos and don'ts just be, you know, the rules?
The rules are already in place for the forum and market section. Those are the do's and dont's

I was unbanned after two years tagged as a reseller. I did resell things that I procured outside. I only wonder why some were banned while resellers were very active in the forum throughout the period. Even my cousin and neighbours were actively selling here.
Shortly afterwards our honourable bosses started accepting money to allow reselling (reseller account)...crazymods

before a ban there should be a warning given to the member before a perma ban.
I agree with this point, specially members who have been here for years..
I myself posted about bidding for a product, kept for sale, unless another members replied immediately this is not allowed and may result in bann.

It was not done deliberately, but sometimes we often break rules, unknowingly or mistaken..

The sale post pictures didn't have the username/date on a paper along with the product.
Forum rules says

"Users violating the market section rules will be awarded 5 infraction points for a period of 7 days. Beyond a total of 10 active points the user gets auto banned, so a consecutive violation within 7 days of last violation will lead to an auto ban."

Did you fall under this category?

Not sure about this tbh but the ban was for a month.

On this board nobody that I know of. Then I'm not active in the market threads where this likely happens more often than in the content areas.

I was referring to another board. There are places like that

My policy is at times I'm going up against owners, mods, heavy hitters and the whole damn board if need be. Some places can't handle that. Or rather some people.
