Yeah I presume. Thing is I bought it on someone's behalf so if I can't do any of the options above the onus will fall on me to cough up the amount. That's the issue on my side. Getting the phone will do me well than getting it refunded tbh since it will affect my local reputation too.Even then they dis-assemble the phone and sell it for parts. They just never turn on that phone for a month or two, it will appear for 2-3 hours on 1 day (Find My) and gone.
So even iCloud activation lock fails. FIR does not help in such cases, personal experience
What would you do different if you had a second chance?Thing is I bought it on someone's behalf so if I can't do any of the options above the onus will fall on me to cough up the amount.
Something I learned is as a buyer you cannot ask enough questions. This may not be 100% scam-proof but that way you can sort out many of the blemishes/unnecessary doubts if you face it and will narrow down the source of the problem. Every consumer has the right. While I was fully aware of that, I didn't fear the worst. And someone posted a link of a unique tape. I think that will be helpful and whoever still want to screw around may have second thoughts. What would you do different if you had a second chance?
What about insurance? Is that an option for youSomething I learned is as a buyer you cannot ask enough questions.
No. I think the only insurance worth is life insurance or multi- 'lion worth products or companies. I honestly don't know about the insurance policy for electronics. Isn't it the same amount as declared value. I've requested a seller only once and that was many years ago which was worth around 2k if I remember correctly. What about insurance? Is that an option for you
And by how much does it increase the asking price.
It means you don't play detective.No. I think the only insurance worth is life insurance or multi- 'lion worth products or companies. I honestly don't know about the insurance policy for electronics. He suspects it's the courier because (he can correct me if I'm wrong):what did the seller say to you about this?
I don't know how insurance works but I agree that that's a logical advice. I'll take more care from now on though I've never been more hesitant to buy again, unless they are members who I've dealt with in the past.If risk is more than I would look for insurance.
Insurance doesn't work for used products. If any courier properly provides transit insurance for used products it'd be great. It means you don't play detective.
You file a claim and in theory receive your full amount.
Like I said don't know if the option exists for you. But yours is a problem that was solved long ago.
What % of total price you paid is 2k?
Even if you paid 20k for iPhone 11?
Its 10% more or you're out100%.
If risk is more than I would look for insurance.
I was about to post that.Does anyone have any known reasonable service to determine the logged in apple id via a device serial number?
I wish i would have forgotten to remove the apple id and left the find my iphone enabled.
I don't see why used or not matters. You are insuring against a certain value.Insurance doesn't work for used products. If any courier properly provides transit insurance for used products it'd be great.
Shiprocket dies provides insurance but for used products it declines outright even though it allows and sometimes even claims are accepted and completed.....don't know what's it with delhivery directly.I don't see why used or not matters. You are insuring against a certain value.
If those are the terms then it's time to find someone else
Okay I checked a little and found delhivery has something called delhivery protect which is transit insurance.I don't see why used or not matters. You are insuring against a certain value.

Thanks for this. But doesn't it need invoice? If not then I might have found a way to ship items which can be broken down into parts and ship them under ₹2499 value in order to get 100% full insurance claims. 20% is a huge drop!!Okay I checked a little and found delhivery has something called delhivery protect which is transit insurance.

Thing is that making a successful claim is not an easy process. There is not a lot of info on how well Delhivery Protect works but check the DTDC equivalent. They simply stop responding to claims after some generic initial replies and you will usually have to take this all the way to the consumer court.Okay I checked a little and found delhivery has something called delhivery protect which is transit insurance.

Shiprocket insurance is pointless for used products. Even otherwise, the insurance is in the form of their credits and not INR, so you basically get stuck having to use them even more if you lose something.Shiprocket dies provides insurance but for used products it declines outright even though it allows and sometimes even claims are accepted and completed.....don't know what's it with delhivery directly.
It's in 4 parts (first is useless/unimportant as it's just showing the box, second was blurry cam so had to change it, but two main parts are in full). My phone has battery and port issue so I didn't want to risk using it but ended up using it anyway.@iPwnz : Are your Unboxing videos in parts or is it one single long video without cuts with the camera recording the entire unboxing process?
I think if it's in parts it might not prove very useful no?
Credit notes?? No cash??Yep, quite pointless.
They don't have any option as if they refuse you may straight heading to Police Station. They are cooperative
