He has my sympathy on the fentanyl. This is like China waging chemical warfare against the US. Two decades long problem.


Set at 25% for the Euros due to $300bn annual trade deficit.

It's actually a little smaller but he still has a point. The second biggest trade deficit the US has after China.

And he's right about the US holding the aces here since they can always just stop buying.

It hurts the other side more. All of them. They can't win.

The classic liberals which is your wall st lot always quibble over these increases. Trade wars is bad m'kay. It's ingrained into people.

That is why the deficits are so big. Other leaders were more susceptible to their critiques than him. He's said he never knows what they will say about him. One day its positive and then not.

Combined GDP of the EU isn't far off from the US. So why the gap?

It'll hurt the average American even more, most of the companies cannot move production to the US because they cannot afford US wages.
Even if they did, the cost of the product will end up being more than what it'll be with the 25% tariff anyways.
These actions would've been effective 20 years ago, they're closing the stable doors after the horses have bolted.

So, how long will you give it before declaring this policy?

Going through is like he has 2 US Presidents in his guests list since 1990s and prime minister's, presidents, princes, Hollywood stars, Pop stars, Intelligence Heads of countries & International Banks funding his child sex trafficking empire.
Now both the US Presidents are denying that they don't know much about Epstein might have met him couple of times for donations for their campaigns. They both received millions of dollars for the trusts and political campaigns from Epstein.
The list is endless. Shit man.
Maybe that is why Epstein was killed in his jail cell in 2019.

I'll give this 6 months as long as you dont try to selectively answer any arguments or try to shoehorn your bullshit arguments in, what say you? ; ) , US will have to setup entire supply chains for shit like this, before they can even think of getting prices on par with pre-tariff hike, let's see how it goes with the populace when they are finding it hard to even afford eggs with the current prices.

Since a week the FBI servers were being culled of any traces of evidence regarding Epstein's activities, Kamala Harris attorney is saying. Trumpy is trying to erase any evidence of his play boy activities from the system it seems.

What is supposed to happen in 6 months? The other side caves and a compromise reached OR the sanctions go away which means domestic pressure forces Trump to withdraw the sanctions.

Any other possibilities? Besides those two.

I'm saying they will cave. How long is to be seen.

How do you assess if the policy is working or not? What would you point to to show it was working or not working.

1)He is looking for concessions from these parties. Buy more American.

2)He is making it quite clear that in some cases if they don't build in the US as opposed to elsewhere then the protective barriers go up.

He can say anything he wants. Trump gets accused of all sorts of things. Same old tactics. Only opposition prays for it to be true. His supporters know there will be more of this nonsense coming up. Because that is what the opposition does. And I don't waste my time with this.

His Tesla company shares recorded another lowest point in a straight 6 days in NASDAC.
His Tesla company's market capitalisation of 1 trillion dollars gone.
Teachers Union chief of US & Secretaries of all departments told their employees not to buy any more shares from his company and sell all his Tesla company shares.
That's why he is losing so much within a week.
But today he released Tesla Model S in China and his investors are thinking maybe this will help the company regain the share value again and still he the richest man in the world.

I was hoping for this. High time it happened. Last time circa 2015, it fell through because the Brits objected to free flow of people (big EU idea) with India. Well the Brits aren't in the EU anymore so there's that.

Saudis also couldn't get that FTA back then. But given they are hosting US & Russia sans EU might complicate such an agreement. Only makes India more attractive to the EU :)

Not multi -polarity but the EU trying to find more trading partners given the challenging US relations.

Oh and some moralistic lectures about why we cannot sanction Russia in some way.
