Will use it for gaming, development and media consumption as well so i guess ips panel would be better. Would prefer inbuilt speaker. Im up for 27 inch too if it's good.
Have shortlisted following, please let me know which one i should finalise. or if there are better option.

Gigabyte g24 2oc 165hz
looks good specs wise and ips panel.

MSI g255f 180hz
Cheapest and looks decent according to specs

LG ultragear 24gs60f 180hz
Supports HDR10, tbh i have never used any hdr monitor or tv so i dont know how is it.

Acer nitro vg270x1 27inch 200hz
200hz and has inbuilt speakers

Also I'm student and have student email from my college so let me know if i can avail discount somewhere with it.

Thank you.

I have something from my experience to share.
Careful with Acer 200hz claim unless you are sure it is out of the box refresh rate and not 'overclockable' one. It will worsen your display if you do that.
I have owned a good amount of acer, Benq monitors and mostly are VFM and straight up good ones but Acer started this doing recently where they slap 'overclockable' refresh rate and you have will have no idea how bad it will look because out of the box it will be let's say 144hz for 180hz monitor and so on.
Benq, LG, MSI and acer is the preference i would go for.

Unless there is some sound brand inclusion like Trevolo then it makes sense for considering a monitor choice based on that. Otherwise completely ignore inbuilt speakers.
A smartphone sounds a lot better than this so called "inbuilt speaker" monitors. You can't even watch a YT video clearly on these.
For HDR use i have no idea.
Any type of inbuilt height/ pivot adjustment will be helpful for quick adjustments.
I think for 27 inch, 1080p is a bad idea. Investing around 3k more and get a 1440p monitor even with 144hz would be fine.

I bought this monitor 2 years ago. The panel is good for its price, you have to color calibrate it when you buy it, cause it looks yellowish. However, there is one main issue: these monitors have a lot of production issues. Everyone I know who bought this monitor has returned it at least once. I faced the same issue; the panel started getting green lines after 8-9 months of usage, and it would not work.

But Gigabyte acknowledges this issue and offers a replacement without any questions. They are aware of the high return rate. I received 2 replacements in 2 years, they say that the recent ones in production don't have this issue. But you never know. It's a good monitor for its price, but wouldn't recommend buying it if you don't have a Gigabyte service centre near you!
