This seems to be working as a browser website shortcut. I guess similar to a bookmarkTry opening TE on your browser > open the browser menu > 'Add to home screen'.
I guess your browser doesn't support it. I'm using it with Cromite and it works. Try downloading Chrome/Cromite or something like that just for this app (follow the same instructions) and see if you like that experience.
