News Nintendo Switch 2 becomes fastest selling console at launch in history!

You're right to point out the interesting position of the Nintendo Switch 2 in relation to the PS4 Pro! While the PS4 Pro was a powerful console for its time, the Switch 2 is demonstrating performance that often rivals or even surpasses it in key areas, despite being a handheld device
To think that it still does not or for a fair point ..let's say is equal to ps4 pro ..mean they are still 10 years behind in hardware.

Their game lineup and experience is so solid that they get away with this every time.

Imagine the profit margin they might be having to sell such old hardware at $450.

Just a rough estimate ...I am guessing they must be making $200 on each console.

Bechara Sony and Microsoft literally have to sell at loss.

Nintendo Switch 2 in comparison to switch 1 is almost $200 more. I saw some news coverage of the launch date ....many though a big fan were still complaining about it being expensive.

thats fans complaining about high prices.....general gamers will be thinking 3 times about Switch 2.

Nintendo switch 2 screen punctures by Gamespot to attach the bill.

Nintendo must have kept the box very thin paper like almost it seems.

Anyways good that those gamers got it replaced. Hum flamethrower leke pahuch jata if they would have denied replacing it for me incase.

Good choice girl.

The margin is the reason they were able to bear the warehouse cost associated with stockpiling all these launch units which Microsoft and Sony cannot do considering the hardware is being sold at a loss.

After the Wii U, Nintendo really had to sell at low margin to be sure to move units. Now they know they can fleece their devoted fanbase again.

If I remember correctly back in days of ps3 . One Sony guy had given an interview saying warehouse cost is $15 per unit.

So still $200- $15/20 = $180/$185 approx margin is too good.

5-year old hardware aside, they even skimped on the screen. The OLED refresh cycle will be another monetisation exercise.

Nintendo is really pushing the limits of their fan base this time around, so have to see how well the sales hold up for casual users.
