Need Trusted Chip, Motherboard level laptop repair shop, contact, service in Mumbai

Update Update Update....

First I went to Ghatkopar at PC Clinic - it's very hard to find, little bit inside from main road, they do repair I saw many people coming there with items to repair.. but sadly they denied stating they can not resolder the the usb c port... I showed them videos on YouTube .. how they can do it with hot air gun and some solder... But it seemed their technician did not wanted to do it..

Later I went to lamington road.. and was enquiring at a shop at the ground floor of prime abgb .. and there a guy told me. They can do it.. on third floor they have a laptop repair shop .. room no 301.. there was this guy Aadil... He was young but very knowledgeable person and fixed it within 10 minutes ..

He saw the motherboard and came to know about history by just looking at it.. I was surprised.. but he fixed the problem..

Sharing if anyone interested
Offtopick...

There was a CPU reballing competition in china and one indian guy came third in competition...

It seems there are good technician...but not paid well or very hard to find...

Thanks for your contact..

You can try third floor of same building as prime abgb... There is a laptop repair shop.. they may can fix it
Phone number of adil ?

This is the place...

well bro, Aadil is the name of tecnician, who works at this place.

This place is repair center owned by someone, Aadil guy is repair man, who works there...

there may be more places, but i only found this one and to my surprise he was good and knew what he was doing
i may go again at lamington road to buy some stuff and will check again at that place to see if i can get any other good tecnician number

my general idea is that if a repair center has microscopic lense, air ventilator, multimeter etc... means they have good facility and may involve in microsoldering components... if i just see only soldering gun and dirty place... then its not worth to spend time there and may damage more

There is one more chap I know of who does chip level repair and is based in Ghatkopar (East).

He has done chip level repairs for me in the past, when I was based in Mumbai (now relocated to the south - but still maintain the Mumbai home). Have known him since the late 90's when he started off with radio and tape decks - and has since moved on the PC components.

The shop is maintained shabbily though and first impressions can be bad. But he has delivered mostly - except in a few cases. They have another branch in Lamington Road, Mumbai , operated by the elder brother. The younger brother and his son operate the Ghatkopar (East) outlet. The owner is a good guy, but the son is arrogant and might rub you the wrong way.

Esskay Computers, Room No 1,
Near Station Sky Ghatkopar (E), Khimji Patel Chawl, Opp Khimji Mansion,
Jetha Bhai Road, Patel Chowk, Ghatkopar East-Mumbai - 400075

I can pass his mobile number if necessary.

I had gone to the Esskay one in lamington, but they couldn't fix the issue since it was a chip level issue and the spare chips at that time were not available. But this was sometime in 2003/4 or so - was an issue with my P4 setup (the infamous RD RAM one)

Do put the number - it would be surely helpful.

Another point is regarding repairs - people do not know whom to go and go to local computer shop or some so called desktop support engineers. These guys just give to such people or try R&D themselves and screw up the entire machine. Case in point, Thinkpad E14 - it was not charging, but was otherwise working. The engineer took it to some unknown person in Andheri, and blew out the chipset - found out when it came to me and I gave to PC Clinic. Another case with a Dell machine - some one else - same power issue - but machine now dead, and HDD also dead due to tinkering.

Secondly, for something which is hardly 2k - we have been charged by someone nearly 8k. And the work was not great either. And also not a one off. Hence better to go to source and fix.

this tool needed for profesional repair work, and alos the display type volt and amp meter... if i see this at repair shop i am relieved that at least they have some good equipment
considering that now TE is the only single place in whole india for tech stuff..

dont we have any one dealing with repair items

we can have a separate section in market place for repair services, where people can post their issue and anyone who can fix can quote price with shipping etc and get things done...

True - have the hot air gun and soldering station for small repairs at home.
