Forum Feedback Migrating away from XenForo - Migration Started

Apparently hitting the END key on the keyboard will jump to end, or hitting `#` followed by a number will jump to that message number.
let us not push to keys... and keyboards.. to what was a simply single click routine..

this again is personal , when browsing i rarely go near KB.. my wireless mouse is all i need to browse.

although its too late for suggestion and migration process is on the way , any reason SM was skipped ?
Anyway from reading the first post , it seems admin has put lots of effort to choose his next software and i think he would have made different customization. I might be comparing DISCOURSE badly implemented forum(oneplus) ... hope it changes after the migration.

It has been probably replied in a different thread. Basically, market ratings will be carried over. PMs will be carried over. No idea about the points, since discourse appears to have a different system for points.

Instead of one click to last page or even set forum to go to last page (if thats possible in discourse ?) , i had to keep pulling hte scroll bar each time to bring it to latest post.. cumbersome imo.
You have click at the end of the line to go to the last post. Plus you can drag that slider to go to any post you want. No touching the keyboard.

Any status updates on the migration? The banner on the site has warned about being read only for a few days now, and yet I am able to post here :)
Let me know if you need any assistance

The banner only states that the edit functionality is disabled. You can still post.

  • Attachments - another 30 hours
  • Rest - 6 hours
  • Final migration - another 12 hours

Will the new forum be in a "Beta" mode for initial days before users comes across a few bugs, missing stuff etc.
And what if we altogether have to perform a complete rollback maybe for a temporary period until the issues are fixed, will the threads from new forum as well get merged with the last backup of the old/existing XenForo?

3) White label stuff like PTM 7950, mouse switches, backpacks
This! Branded merchandise sounds like a good idea. We can always be sure that like LTT, TE products are going to be top-notch. Also, please sell large sized stickers for cars, like TeamBHP does.

Are we also moving the site to a new datacentre, or is it an in-place upgrade?

The beta mode has been in operation for over a month for everyone to browse around. Less than 10 people visited and shared feedback.
There is no avenue of rollback. It will be onwards and upwards. Fasten your seatbelts.

Only version upgrades support in-place upgrade, that too when they are not major.
