A sensible Solution would be to take the laptop for a BIOS hardware flash. If the flash works (at a cost of ₹500–₹1,000), @manohar5321 pays.

If it’s not refund and if you’re not comfortable offering a 30-day testing warranty, simply don’t offer one—instead of backing out on 2nd day.
I think both should share. Under testing warranty still paying 100% for repair expenses for a fault which is unintentional is not right. Moral says it should be seller who should repair it at his own expense but considering (if any) mishandling is done 50-50 is fair enough.

The issue is being stretched more than it should have.
Buyer and Seller should consider this to be an unfortunate event beyond anybody control.
No need to do so much discussion. Repair it and give it back to buyer. Share the expenses. End of deal.
I don't understand why the seller is not interested in cooperation and resolving the issue.
Consider this event as nobody fault and making the device right should be the first priority rather than blaming each other.
I bought the laptop back to have a check does that doesn't mean to cooperate.

Anyways Shivam has agreed to take it to Bangalore to have it checked with a professional of his choice, He believes 100% that I intentionally did something that broke the device, but its all there in the conversations above. I asked him to provide a date until which I have to wait for which he didn't respond neither has he provided any assurance that in what case he will do a refund and what cases he won't be considering the option. So as a buyer I don't have my laptop nor the money nor the terms on which he is carrying it to Bangalore and nor any warranty which he stated he will provide.
Aa a seller it is not only the responsibility but an obligation to assure the buyer that we can sort out the issue but since the beginning Shivam is of the opinion that I screwed it up.
Anyways I appreciate all your inputs they are invaluable and such cases will fortify the safety of future transactions for both Buyer and Seller.
I just hope Shivam deals with this on priority once he reaches Bangalore and that he should provide some date as reference and also record all possible proofs with regards to the repair of this laptop
Only once im in bangalore then i can confirm on the out come.
Either way the buyer did not intentionally tamper with the functioning of laptop, hence I'd consider it product failure - and should be covered under testing warranty if no solution are working.
Sir, its responding to power switch with 7 times blink and if you are not aware. If you buy new and take for warranty the company wouldn't accept under warranty.

Im try to help buyer here but he is trying to rush things for solution which i cant verify until a trusted technician has a check on this.

When we meet F2F i did tell him, im not from here but i will try if not once im in bangalore. I saved his shipping cost to bangalore.

@manohar5321 is this true or not?

Seller is not professional at all. From the very start he is trying his best to put the blame on buyer without any evidance (yeah, yeah, don't tell me about those flashy 7 blinks).

Now you have come to conclusion that im not professional?

Dude on what sense, if that was my intention i wouldn't have meet him to take laptop to have a check.

Evidence is the laptop condition it is in, how are you coming to that conclusion.

As other user suggested to check the HDD for the logs, this was my primary laptop and i dont have spare one.

Once im in bangalore will have this checked through my friends laptop.

I would suggest... Both buyer and seller must first talk they DM and find out a solution...

Also if it's bios problem .. I suggest both should bear 50 50 cost and gets it fixed.. it's win win situation for both..

I didn't want to respond further here but this has gone on far enough. You can't take both his money and the laptop for an indefinite time.

Buyer should pay absolutely no more money for repairs or anything. He should either get full refund now or repaired laptop in a set/fair time.

It seems like you are doing the buyer and everyone else here a favor.

Mods need to intervene.

@ShivamRaj Is the laptop charger and battery a third party one? If so why didn't you mention it in the sale post itself
Dude the provded charger is what i got when i had purchased and new original battery was installed i do have bill.

Dude have some patience yesterday only i got back the laptop and you all spoiled the thread and coming to conclusion that seller is at fault.

The bios got bricked when it was with buyer, even then we were chatting buyer posted here when i was checking laptop with limited resources.

Your comments are not helping.

Seller can post logs here for everyone to see. This way everyone can avoid the blame game. Maybe it's a genuine issue. So let's not jump into conclusions about who is right. Personally, I find the seller to be a bit aggressive. Chill, it's just a laptop and if you are confident about your product, no need to be aggressive or blame the buyer. Show proof and tides will turn. Buyer has no leverage other than the forum because seller has his money and laptop as @MrB pointed out.

Let's hope for a proper solution soon.

Since its a laptop, how exactly did it shutdown improperly, does it not have a battery ?
And i have never seen automatic bios updates without warning. And if it happened automatically, assuming it happened at all, why is it buyers fault ?
30 day warranty seems meaningless if seller can come up with excuses like this.

Other than ignoring, there should be a way to block people from your personal buy/sell. A blacklist based on your discretion at the time, but something that you might forget later.

Guys, since me and the seller has agreed to have it inspected at the seller's location , lets see how things progress. Yes I am worried about my money but Shivam is also a reputed guy on the forum and am sure he will do the right thing. Everyone here is well versed with computers and know for a fact that a simple windows update can not screw up the laptop in such a manner, If Shivam can have the laptop looked at a professional, I am sure it should be a minor fix.

Pls take the laptop to an experienced guy/repair center, others can scam you telling issue is completely different nd quote high repair price.

It's unfortunate such thing happened, hopefully this ends well for both, especially for the buyer.
Im leaving hyderabad in an hour but bangalore is not my next destination. Will reach bangalore by wednesday.

Taking laptop with me to be examined by trusted technician. Please have patience until that.

Buyer and seller both here have good reputation... And just will not like to spoil their reputation just for a laptop and few thousand rupees... Money can be earned... Reputation takes time to build...

Hope best for both of you
I never wanted a third person to get involved between me & buyer. If i would have stopped responding & not even giving proper response means by than buyer could have involved anyone he wanted.

Will provide update by next thursday(3rd July).
