Let me explain my post. I said what made sense and immediately contradicted it, as common sense does not apply to your device. It is designed to draw less power from computer USB port and more power from its proprietory adapter. What I said applies only to dumb devices ( like a ADSL2 router )...

I can tell you the following from common sense: Charger spec of 2.1A does not mean your device will draw the total rated power - it will be lesser than that. A good quality 28 AWG wire, at the most, might warm up slightly ( un-noticeable ), but shouldn't affect charging time significantly...

Most probably, he is referring to a "Flow Restrictor" which costs less than Rs.200 in ebay.in. RO membrane comes with capacity mentioned in GPD. A common 80 GPD RO membrane ( outputs water @ 80 gallons per day ) translates to 302.84 litres per 24 hours which equates to 12.62 litres per hour...
