It's very clear that it's less about rule of law and more about going against platforms which don't let some people in governments control the flow of information and ideas. Instagram has had similar problems since forever.

What has fancy lawyers and living comfortably got to do with the point about them setting a precedent by questionable processes. It's like goons threatening someone to get a particular outcome. The fact that more authoritarian countries exist is beside the point.
