    Making an entire line of headsets redundant is very anti-consumer. So Microsoft might do something about it. Like i posted in OP, current solution is to use win 10 or Win 11/23H2, the only hassle being locked out of current security updates on win 11 (or on win 10 after Nov 2025)

    This was the discussion on the reddit sub, that someone will figure a workaround. For now blocking update on win11 is the only accepted solution.

    Yes. So in win 10 they restored WMR in the latest update. For win 11, there is a workaround soon. But upto Nov 2026, the Win 23H2 method should work.
