In my case, my Samsung S20 FE is able to open up (almost immediately) -
- A 1TB / 2TB Samsung T7 (which uses an NVMe internally),
- A SanDisk 2TB (again an NVMe internally)
- And also the Sabrent case is able to load up 1 TB of NVMe mounted -
All without any problems.. I mainly use the 2TB...
Yeah, I saw that one too - my only concern is that in case I need to run this enclosure on Android / mobile, the power demand due to the fan in the enclosure may prevent it from doing so. Hence leaning towards passive i.e. using thermal pads!
Finally ordered the WD Black 2TB SN770 guys (was tracking its stock availability and luckily PrimeABGB had it).
Now onto a case / enclosure. Although I do have the excellent Sabrent tool-free enclosure, I want to keep it for hot swapping SSDs as needed (as I have some SATA ones as well).
I am...
My need is an M.2 2TB. MX500 & BX500 do not seem to be available in this combination locally (or online). This enclosure based SSD is to serve as a part of my A-B-C backup strategy for my photography projects. I have a 2TB T7 touch which shall copy to this drive.
I agree with what you mention...
Hello @guest_999 - I looked up the details as per your comment above. My use case due to which I started this thread.. has been to use a 2TB ssd with the sabrent case I have linked above (i.e. an SSD in an external enclosure).
The reality being that the wd black SN770 2TB.M.2SSD is dramless...
Check my original use case for which I started this thread. I am using the SABRENT USB 3.2 10Gbps Type C Tool Free Enclosure for M.2 PCIe NVMe and SATA SSDs (EC-SNVE). Quite stable, comes with thermal pads.
It is available on Amazon.in here.
I found this site with availability and good rate but no idea about the rating as such - factorydunia.co-wd_black-2tb-sn770
Anyone has any ideas about its legitimacy please?
Hello all, sorry to revive this thread. I had ordered the SN770 but my order got cancelled - twice. Since then the drive seems to be running short online - although I have managed to confirm a fresh lot due to arrive at the local Computer Market in Delhi (Nehru Place).
My question is that I...
Yes Sabrent one is good - I have had it for the past couple of years too - have a 500GB WD SATA for quick access to portable software.
I haven't bought any SSD yet - was still contemplating, but the Blade issues have been popping up recently as well. Refer the below latest ones on the same page...
Yes, here is a thread about the S70 blade issues.. lot's of horror stories there!
I am finally going in for the SN770 then - thanks everyone for the suggestions and responses.
Thanks!
I posted almost the same Q @ reddit, and u/newmaxx, the author of the SSD List Spreadsheet says, and I quote him -
What do you guys think, kunnalthapa, Kubdya Khavis, gourav?
