Thats like annoying to listen for some nice recievers for an old speakers...First you specify your speakers...their frequency range,driver & rms power out...else this recievers will be an overkill for ur speaker set up...i suggest you to buy some cheap reciever like intex,iball or creative used...

Buy an Asus essence st,it is a audiophile card with 124dB SNR...will blow ur ears away with its clean music...z5500 on board DAC is not at all comparable when compared to this sound card DAC...i owned this combo...and believe it the best set up for your budget...however if u can upgrade ur...

@shakensoul i would rather suggest you to dismantle the sub woofer which is actually a speaker operating at low frequency and buy a speaker with similar specification...or if it is under warranty...go for replacement

Bose Companion 5 really works great...comes at 20k...u can get virtuall 5.1...and very clear sound...u wont need any sound card also

Thanx for the suggestion dudes i dont how to take digital out of the motherboard... and if it needs soldering job to be done over motherboard then im pretty bad in such jobs and i dont see any professional around me whom i think is capable of doing that... any other ideas...thanks in advance...

Mercury 2.1 channel speakers comes with enough bass...i personally used that and i used to keept its bass 50%....coz that much is enough to ear drums to bear....do check that out..
