Some further tweaking and hot spot temps stay at 75-78 even at 100% GPU usage, wattage is around 350 [down from 450 plus] and total wattage as shown by the UPS screen rarely crosses 500-530, so no overload alarm. I would get that overload alarm when total wattage reached 630 or so as the max...

So, after undervolting GPU is now under 400w, performance is better and PEAK hotspot temps have come down from 89-90 to 79-80. Also checked without any UPS and my Luminous UPS is working fine for switchover. Having said that with the now reduced load, I'll connect my 600w APC UPS back and see...
