I recently got a Daikin installed. The Daikin distributor tells me that the same models that are made in India are also imported from Thailand. It depends on our luck which make we get. If you want you can check with the dealer and wait until the Thailand made AC is available.

@soulweaver - Use the attached Excel calculator to get an approximate amount of soft water you can expect. The prepopulated values are for my softener. I think my tank has only 60 litres of working resin. I get about 12 KL per regeneration.
