Ultimate Chicken Horse

Civilization 7, Elden Ring Nightreign and Pirate Yakuza are some more heavy hitters. Not to mention the various ports and remasters like DKC Returns HD & Spider-Man 2.

It's hard to pick just one... For the sake of the conversation, the Nintendo DS. Great library (such as the Professor Layton series, some of the best Pokemon games (incl. SoulSilver and Explorers of Sky), the Castlevania DS trilogy, the best port of Chrono Trigger and a wealth of other JRPGs...

Exciting. 2025 looks to be the most stacked year in modern gaming, surpassing even 2018. Here's hoping that GTA 6 does not get delayed to 2026.

PS5, and I echo the suggestion of getting the disc version. The price increase will pay for itself with the savings from buying/selling used discs. PS4 games on disc are also quite cheap used, you'll be able to play the many excellent exclusives that PS4 still has (Uncharted 1-3 remastered, GoW...

Considering your usage habits, it'll be fine. I'd still recommend being wary of burn-in when using it for regular PC tasks, take precautionary measures like setting the taskbar to auto-hide, dark mode in apps and dark wallpapers, sleep/screen off after a short while of idling, turning off HDR...

No reason to go for the GameSir imo. It launched back when hall effects were just starting to appear in cheap controllers, hence the hype around it. But these days you can do a lot better, even from GameSir themselves, eg Nova Lite. It is/was a competitor to the Ultimate C('s wired version)...

Great controller. Hall effect sticks and triggers, extra set of buttons, comes with 2.4Ghz dongle and somehow has a lower input latency than even the Xbox controller with the official adapter. Its value proposition is so strong that it hardly makes sense anymore to buy a first-party controller...

Most DS3s variants actually used hall effect sensors for the analog sticks! We have truly regressed.

+1 to Cocoon. Would also suggest checking out Planet of Lana, another game of Limbo's ilk. Weaker puzzles that are more than made up for by the breathtaking visuals.
