It was bought around late 2018(don't know the exact date)
I did not bother with repair of hinges, it runs well with external monitor, you can probably get it repaired for less than 3000(when I asked, it was less than 3000)
Also the ram is now 16 gb in dual channel, plus 500 gb ssd is added
