Amazon Ends partial Payment via Amazon Pay.

How's Apay for icici card offers? does it get excluded on FK/Amazon or any other retailers when they run ICICI offers?

no loophole, wrong terminology
Yes and no (nowadays more no but i have seen some e-com sites such as myntra having separate instant discount offer for Amzn Pay CC)

Yeah, I use my MMT/Coral cards for the bank offers too. That's the one thing the lower/mid tier ICICI cards are great for. But I'm keeping the Apay because the limit on my SBI cashback is very low (20k, even though I've had it for almost a year) and because SBI could downgrade the cashback card at any time. It gets harder and harder for them to maintain that kind of general reward rate over time, they will have to keep adding more and more excluded categories until the card is eventually dead. Just like Axis has been doing. Whereas I think the 5% on Apay is probably going to be there for as long as the card exists. It's also LTF unlike the cashback which makes it easier to hold. But yeah, for now the clear winner is Cashback.
It will certainly get devalued further. Same thing happened with the Axis Ace card which I closed earlier this year.

I got my SBI Cashback LTF after writing to the customer service about it, so I will keep it nonetheless. It has a ridiculous but still over 1L limit, so I can't be bothered about that as it exhausts the cashback limit anyway.

The good thing about ICICI cards is that they always share the same credit account, so it is easy to apply again for a new card and get the same limit assigned. I closed the Apay card to mainly to see if it affects the cards offered by ICICI and so far it seems it did.

It gets excluded on a lot of merchant sites. In my case it worked on 2/5 websites that ran an ICICI offer which is one of the reasons I closed that card. But then you can get another ICICI card for those offers.

One of the lucky few that got in early, I'm guessing. I saw that they've completely stopped doing that now. DId you have to threaten them with cancelling the card?

Did you threaten to close the card or just simply request them?
eh, all sbi cards might as well be ltf, you just need to threaten the customer care into refunding the renewal fees
I don't think it works anymore. They simply close the card.
I'll get a chance to try that soon. But I have heard people say cashback is an exception and sometimes they just cancel your card when you threaten to leave, lol.
Do update us here. I am too looking to convert my SBI cashback card to a LTF card.

Can we use amazon pay balance + amazon shopping voucher
If I have 250 as amazon pay balance and buy 500 amazon shopping voucher, can I combine both to buy product worth 750 ?
Not sure about now but last month it was working as I can confirm.

Thereafter, I received a Coral and then a Rubyx card as LTF from ICICI
ICIC offer ltf cc only to their savings acc holder & nowadays icici is asking to open 50k/1 lakh mab savings acc in many branches.

Keep an eye on annual financial statement of sbicard for FY 2023-24 & the share price movement afterwards. That will be a good indicator to know how long sbi cashback card remains as it is.

damn? really? I wont try that lol, cashback is my most used card

There was a period last year where almost everyone already holding an ICICI CC was offered Coral Rupay LTF on the iMobile app. That's how I got mine. It was on all the fintech facebook groups, I'm sure they issued thousands of those cards. Also, the MMT cards don't have annual fees. Just one time joining fees of 500 and 2500 for the red one and the black one. I got the red one a few years back for 500 because my Apay card was not eligible for most ICICI offers. And of course, Apay is always LTF. There's actually a lot of easy ways to get LTF ICICI cards.

It's their more premium ones that are harder to get LTF. For example, I don't have an ICICI account but I have a preapproved offer for Sapphiro for 6,500 joining fee and 3,500 a year -- you'd have to be insane to take that deal.

That's the one card icici gave ltf & which I forgot because it was rupay card.
Even the platinum card, which you get instantly against FD is also LTF and eligible for all offers. I believe you can get it without FD too. But typically you would need an account and at least 50k FD.

I don't think it works anymore. They simply close the card.

It was just a request that I wished to use the SBI card as my primary one but the annual fees make it difficult to do so.

I suppose they were doing it in bulk back then because I read about it in one of the other forums, but not sure if they still entertain such requests.
