macOS Sequoia Beta 2 Adds Support for iPhone Mirroring

Just tried it and it works quite well. Drag-n-drop and other additions are missing, universal clipboard also doesn't seem to work during mirroring.

Other notes:
  1. Can't seem to resize the mirrored window at the moment, I hope that comes later
  2. Cmd + Tab and other shortcuts are bound to macOS itself and doesn't work on the mirrored phone. So have to point and click to go to home screen or show app switcher.

How is the beta overall and which phone are you using? Are there any banking or security apps that are broken?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, also updated to iOS 18 Dev Preview 2.

DP1 on phone I had some instances of home screen crashes but recovered quickly. DP2 hopefully will be smoother. DP1 also had some bugs with the new color tint options for widgets/icons but those also seem to be sorted.

Banking apps work fine—I've tried HDFC, BoB, ICICI, RBL and SBI. No issues at present. UPI apps also work fine. I don't think I've ever had banks blocking Beta/Developer Previews of iOS. It's not like I'm jailbreaking or anything but then again, banks are stupid so I wouldn't be surprised if that happens in the future.

Too early to tell if DP2 is stable but I'd say if you don't have a spare phone handy or if you're not risk-averse, don't install Developer Preview builds—wait for the public beta.
Link to that wallpaper please.

Forgot the original source but found it here: https://image-1.uhdpaper.com/wallpa...scenery-4k-wallpaper-uhdpaper.com-681@1@k.jpg

Glad to hear that it is stable. I installed in on iPad (Air 4) and it had many bugs. Lock Screen flickers when I turn the display on. The continuity features are weird. There was this Apple Notes icon on the dock. When I clicked it, it opened safari page from my Mac. Then the dock showed the right icon (safari continuity icon).

This is one thing I miss after moving to Android. The integration of Android devices with MacOS is almost non-existant!

I have it installed on my iPad Pro 11". Fortunately didn't face these sort of issues.

Forgot to mention: DP1 Screen Time features were bugged as hell on iPad and macOS. Accessing Screen Time settings would crash the Settings app on DP1. Those seem to be fixed now at least on macOS. iPad is still updating.

Apple finally fixed Screen Time sync with iOS 18/iPadOS 18/macOS Sequoia so those settings now reflect across all your Apple devices.

I mean you can sort of see why given the market share. It's pretty much Win + Android and macOS + iOS/iPad right now.

Win + Samsung works pretty well based on what my friends say, I haven't tried it in a long time. I guess Phone Link app has improved quite a lot.

UPDATE:Screen Time is still bugged on my MacBook Air but fixed itself on my MacBook Pro. Weird.
