Fully enthusiastic Tim Cook, "Our bestest, fastest, AI'est, Iphone with never before seen features on an iPhone such as fully recycled charging cable which you can buy for only $99 and save the planet." Get ready for a "new" iphone with exact same features and design as the last one. But, the bestest ever.
Who gives a shit? Even my cycle repair man is now "rocking" an iphone (probably on EMI). Didn't ask. But was shocked to hear the ringtone and a brand new shiny iphone came out of his pocket.

Still don't understand why iPhone keeps getting equated with flaunting. It is just a tool FFS and doesn't matter who uses it for what.

It is expected of Apple since they have been creating and using these presentation techniques over several years but it is more cringeworthy seeing Google and Samsung follow the exact same minimalistic setup, with "best ever" statements and summarization slides. Not sure why other brands completely lack originality in presentation.

I am pretty sure that a phone which costs north of 60K for someone with a salary of around 10K when equally practical options exist around 10K is bought for the explicit purpose of flaunting. I would have thought the same had he taken out a Samsung Ultra. I feel sad that they spend half a year's worth of their salary (at the level of their salary where basic necessities are dependent on their salary) on such useless stuff.

Apple is cringeworthy. Everyone is 100x of them in copying them and they don't have the same "shameless" confidence as Apple in their products, especially when there is nothing new.

Almost every flagship mobile will only have subtle improvements over 2 generations. Thats why you skip atleast 4 years before buying another flagship. Google Samsung Apple are all same.

To be fair, Samsung is the worst money grab among these brands. Their AI integration was laughably bad and they did so just to be able to add AI as a marketing term for the S24 lineup. Google has gone all-in as well but at least their solutions are more practical. Apple has to tie up with OpenAI being late to the game but their execution in terms of integration will be much better.

Spot on man...

I don't know why Apple is considered cringe and I'm not afraid to ask..
Their events are cringe. It is the same event every time with the same product every time. The camera starts from far out and then zooms in. Show the nature around Apple HQ which is mostly desert with Tim Cook standing somewhere near dry grass. It is just so cringe.

Oh okay. I thought why people are saying devices are cringe.

The events are marketing events - they aren't techical events. Apple being a trillion dollar company knows how to sell for sure - there's a reason why these prerecorded shows are more popular as live events than those done by Google or Samsung, every year. Just look at live view and total view numbers.
And there's a reason why Apple events get dissected more than other commercial tech segments.
And even if you feel them to be cringe - look at the last couple of events - all shot on iPhones! Yes, they use professional rigs etc, but they are still shot on iPhones - which is crazy marketing in itself.
Do I miss the live events and live demos? Yes - i must have watched Jobs iPhone launch event over a dozen times - but Apple knows what's working to increase numbers, and surely they will pivot when change makes sense.
Till then, we are stuck with their too-clean recorded marketing events.

Good strategy by Apple, to reach more card holders and also good that not to rely on only 1 service for long...
Yes.

The confidence of HDFC

“They have taken on some other bank partners, and I think you can judge the quality of the relationship, which we had with Apple from the fact that for five years, we were the only bank and now they have taken on two,” Rao said.

I don't like the apple pricing and the closed ecosystem or the reparing costs.
However I do like their advancement in chip level.
I also like their marketing approach as someone who is looking to learn a thing or two from this.

Ofcourse I hate the fanboys but Apple has done well establishing themselves in such position.

Yeah i will definitely glace over the details of this event but yeah that's about it.

From random Google searches, HDFC is the largest CC issuer in India, and ICICI and AMEX India combined are nearly half the number of CCs vs HDFC. So the reachability has actually decreased (also note that these offers generally don't apply on ICICI AMZ card - which is about 5 million users - likely highest chunk by ICICI).

i have iphones with a love-hate relationship. i loved my iphone small se 1st gen. i don't use phone and spend most of the time on computer so i switched to android. even android at 6gb is slower however i am able to copy, share, save all the files easily which is most important. also call recording in samsung is bonus. with extra sd card slot, i love what it offers at the price. iphones are no longer luxury and often comes at aggressive price like on BBD. the value comes with the price is not worth also now each chappri, nibba have iphones so i no longer feel owning something good, similar to KTM.

i hate apple close ecosystem but i am still on mac and ipad because of few apps that are available only on MacOS.

ipad is no doubt best compare to andoid tablets if buying in similar price range. if i go android tablet/phone, i will always choose samsung over any other brand.
