Reason for Sale
Upgrading
Here is my dad's current work laptop up for sale. Great for office work and meticulously maintained and used very sparingly. It was originally shipped with a 1TB HDD but went kaput last year in September and since then, it has been running on an upgraded BX500 240GB SATA SSD storage. My dad now wants to upgrade to Redmi Pad 6 so selling this here.

Has normal signs of wear on the outer body but nothing more than that. It has a textured black surface, so capturing the wear was hard, but I've tried highlighting it with some image filters. Runs Windows 10 but I can probably install Linux on it as well if the buyer wants to.

The RAM is upgradable and some Acer forums point to there being an M.2 slot in there in some models but I haven't disassembled it so I don't know specifically if this model has one. I will link the forum post below. No warranty as changing storage voids the warranty (stupid asf but oh well)

I have no idea about the pricing on this thing as this was given to my dad by his company so going according to the Flipkart/Amazon price (₹ 21k?), let's start at ₹16.5k for the bundle. Asking ₹15.7k for the laptop and ₹800 for the SSD specifically.

The asking price for the laptop is ₹10.2k and SSD is priced at ₹800, bringing the total to ₹11k in total. A bit negotiable but no lowballing, please.

Note that SSD carries a warranty as it was purchased on 13th September 2023.

Shipping is at the buyer's risk but I will pack well and share the packaging pics until the buyer is satisfied. You can book the shipping yourself as well, as long as it's doorstep pickup. Folks in my feedback stats can vouch for my packaging if they want (I have shipped laptops in the past).

I have no idea about the pricing on this thing
For 17,000 you get Intel i3-1115G4 + 8 GB DDR4 3200 MHz RAM + 512 GB SSD + Windows 11.

- AMD 9120e (launched in 2019) is way too weak. It scores 743 in single thread compared to 2632 by i3-1115G4 (launched in 2020). That's more than a 3.5x lead by Intel. Even Intel Core i5-3320M from 2012 scores 1620 which is more than 2x compared to 743. Detailed comparison: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compar...i3-1115G4-vs-Intel-i5-7200U-vs-Intel-i5-3320M
- 8 GB is twice the amount of RAM on offer here.
- 512 GB SSD > 240 GB SSD
- And most importantly, AMD 9120e is not officially compatible with Windows 11 whereas i3-1115G4 is most probably going to be supported by Windows 12 too. The individual purchasing this AMD laptop has to look for Linux or Windows 11 hacks in 2025 which is very very close.
But that pricing is only on this forum, right? Yes and a no actually.
16,000 can get a lot even on Amazon Refurbished and in your case even Windows 11 compatibility is not a criteria for comparison. https://www.amazon.in/s?k=refurbished+laptops&i=computers All of them are faster and come with beefier specs even at a lesser price tag + a six month warranty!

Thanks for providing the detailed info for pricing.

I will look into updating the pricing once I am off work. I was hoping any one of you tech-savvy lot would educate me better and hence I started with a random pricing I deduced.

Pricing Update: Updated the price according to some older Celeron and other dual-core laptops in the market. A bit negotiable nonetheless. Cheers.

Not degrading your post... But you should research suitable pricing

Tech items change very fast and gets more cheap dat after day... Hence price accordingly..

This TE comunity is not created to make profit by selling used items to less tech savvy people.. but to get some money of your used product and also for buyer to save some money and get good value for money product... It's kind of win win for buyer and seller.. also reduce e waste..

I have seen good product at suitable price being sold instantly...

Yeah, I get that. Is the reduced price still a lot for this machine? Please let me know.

The problem is that I don't get much time to research pricing and stuff for anything I sell here. I am not trying to profit off anything just selling things I don't use anymore. My field of work doesn't leave me with much time to put into looking up tech hardware information and whatnot. You can clearly see in any of my classifieds posts that I first price things according to my limited knowledge and then work off to appropriating it off feedback from the members here. It's just a basic market pricing strategy, you adjust prices according to consumer feedback and demand.

The funny thing is not a lot of the previous buyers here have ever tried negotiating much from my original assumptions in any previous deals. The only time I have been off target besides this laptop has been my printer I sold a few months ago but I corrected it with time. However, I usually go around slowly reducing my original price after some days anyway until I get a potential buyer. Thanks for the feedback though, I appreciate being educated if I am incorrect on something.

I am not looking to sell anything instantly as well. The things I have sold here are all from my household and not any reselling merch, I put up classifieds whenever I feel like it and I am okay with the post being there for some time until eventually I stumble upon the correct price drop locking in a buyer.

Have never sold for a profit and never will without the Reseller badge.
Cheers.
