I guess one way would be to report one of your own posts and ask that your account be deleted:
Not sure Why you would want to Delete it? but do know this is quite informative and some members are genuinely very helpful.

Probably don't want the comment history openly on internet for ever, so looking for probably options ?
Don't think banning will remove comment history though.
I think admin can simply delete/rename the user acc so all previous posts now show up as posted by "user 12345" etc which is practically same thing (at least this is how it is done on DD forum).
