There is a Facebook group Facebook Scam Group Cheapest PC Parts In India By TIBG which generally renamed with different names like renaming the TIBG with ACRO, MODxcomputer like this. This is a scam group including the admin so even with admin method, you will get scammed. Basically, the whole group is a scam and they are targeting people from original Acro facebook group and similar group.

When someone post a WTB thread, few scammers present in these original group sends private message and redirect them to this scam group luring with cheap priced deals where people are getting scammed in Lakhs. I have seen people losing 20, 30k, 50k and even today someone lost money dealing with them.

I will not blame the victim in this case. In this modern era, where the transactions are very easy to track. There are rare chances these have gone their money back even after filing the case with police and cyber crime.

The Fraud Group is running freely, scamming people mocking the system at its best. Why no one is taking any action? I am sure these people have filed the complains. there are 20+ cases i have seen in just Acro group.

Don't forgot there are other scams includes 1. Credit Card Scam 2. Lottery Scam 3. calllcenter scam (international) 4. fake police scam like this are running in public in India.

These things broke my heart. It was not their fault look for some more discount. There is no one to protect us.

This is the only reason I never prefer buying from FB for pc parts. And to break a shocking news, many erodov members have migrated to these groups as I know few popular names from erodov who now are sellers and convincers over there...

The main thing is group is actively working to scam people. I almost got ripped off for few thousands and they blocked me. Those facebook profiles are still active. It is a scam hub group and not being questioned by the police, cyber crime team or anyone.

I believe there was someone representing Modxcomputers here on TE a few months ago. He got caught scamming a buyer and was banned.

Please note that even ACRO and other groups are original, the sellers can be a scammer. Be careful dealing with these people over Facebook, OLX or anywhere.

Does reporting the group make FB take it down?

Do you think so?

I have reported one such pornographic post and see the response..Fb simply ignores such reporting and its official that porn and all crap is legal now. Same goes for Insta hence no wonder you will find those so called nude influencers from every local locality..

Facebook with insta is becoming p*hub similar to twitter/x, dangerous with x-rated reels, clips from 18+ web series. there is no decent platform available now. if a teen signup for a new facebook account, feed with fb reel have 18+ clips from x web series.

this happening from last 2-3years. i have quit the facebook, just present there because of the old groups.

Have bought from Zoukart, and had a good experience. I do not buy from all groups or are part of such groups in FB. But can recommend zoukart.

One solo guy in fb tried to scam me 20k for G29 simulator gig once. I made a cybercrime complaint with TN police. The scammer refunded me immediately after I he got notified by police. He then begged me to withdraw the complaint. It turned out it was the guy's first attempt at scamming. Unfortunate for him, his bank account with his own money around 1.6L got frozen by the police and was never unfrozen. He learnt a big lesson. But Idk how these big scammers never get caught??? Maybe people don't take the effort to complain??

most of the time they are operating temporary bank account using stolen creds. i got scammed sometime back on fb marketplace for a purchase of ssd. transferred the token of 1200 to the guy, he was supposed to share tracking by the evening, then delayed to next morning then stopped responding at all. i lodged a cyber crime complaint but no response after that. it was not a huge amount so i had left it at that only.
