Looking to buy a laptop for office work for my wife.
1. Don't want to settle for less than 16gb RAM.
2. Battery backup should be good. USB c charging is desirable.
3. Budget would be a max of 35K after all offers and discounts.
4. Prefer something light weight.. Around 1.5 to 1.75 kg
Any suggestions or links?
Is it possible to get an i5 or ryzen 7 series in this budget?

Thanks for the suggestions. How do I check if a laptop can be charged through usb-c? I am trying to find if a Ryzen 5 or i3 will reduce my budget by a few thousands, provided it satisfies my other requirements.

With 1K coupon and SBI CC EMI which reduces 2250, final price is 35,749

Ryzen 7 7730U, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD

There is offer from Lenovo to get 2 years extended warranty for 999
Thank you. I have ordered this one.

Keep us posted how it turns out !
Received it yesterday. Laptop appears to be well built, with a decent selection of ports. It has both a barrel charging port and a USB-C charging option. The package includes only the USB-C charger, which is fine. However, it also means that the only USB-C slot is now occupied by the charger. It would have been great if Lenovo had included both charger tips in the package. :p
Installed Windows and everything is working like it should. Battery backup appears to be around 5 hrs, but it is too soon to conclude.
Overall, very satisfied with the purchase.

Could you please register the laptop on lenovo site and confirm brand warranty validity date? Also, check for additional 2 years extended warranty pricing?

Registered on Lenovo website already. It initially showed 9 months remaining warranty, but I had the option to update purchase date. Now it shows 391 days remaining warranty (no idea why). Will check the extended warranty pricing and post here later.

One of the reviewer I read mentioned the same, warranty was already started (3 months ago) before his purchase. I cancelled my order as I received a mail from Amazon on shipping day stating how to claim warranty, it showed going to amazon order history and submitting request for claims from there, so I was not sure weather its lenovo warranty or amazon seller one.

This is the mail I received the day it was shipped. It clearly mentioned brand warranty.

I think the above part confused you.

Good to know its warranty is from date of order and not earlier. Think you are located in Pune too, was the laptop shipped from Hyderabad? Mine said delivery by Sunday and then changed to Monday before cancelling. CC just made promise for sake of it and nothing happened on sunday. Can you check the 2 year extended warranty part in 999?

Not Pune. I'm at a place around 100 kms from Coimbatore. Mine was shipped from Bengaluru.
The seller might be the difference. When I was about to place the order, the discount coupon for the seller "Since 2012" had dropped to Rs.500, instead of Rs.1000. So, instead of risking with this seller for Rs.500, I placed the order from "Clicktech Retail Pvt Ltd." without coupon discount.

The above are the extended warranty rates shown by Lenovo. I did not come across the 999 offer anywhere.

I have the same/similar requirements for a college kid. But budget is 50-55k. Can I also get a few recommendations?

Which company has good/decent after sales warranty & service ?

I know Asus gets a lot of flak but my last two laptops have been from Asus with the maximum 3-year onsite warranty. They visited my home 2 times for my last laptop including a screen replacement. For my current laptop, they again came to my home for a WiFi card replacement. When the service person couldn't get the screw off (did not have the right screwdiver), he took it with him to the service centre and returned the next day with the issue fixed.

May be it is specific to certain cities (I am in Mumbai) but at least Asus laptop service has been great for me over the past 4 years.
