PC Peripherals Suggestion for Mechanical Keyboard under 5000

mk76

Herald
Budget - 5000
Size - TKL - 96%
Connectivity - Wired/Wireless
PCB - Hot swappable
Backlit - White / RGB
Use - All except gaming

Edit : If it is not too much of inconvenience in long run then I would be happy to switch to 75% or TKL . Since I don't own one , would appreciate any inputs here.

I find it very inconvenient to change the layout of the keyboard. Full size and TKL are somewhat interchangeable, because other than the number side, everything is identical. But every smaller keyboard has an "innovative" way to place the home, end, backspace, del etc. keys which is a pain to adjust to.

If you are used to a full size normal keyboard, I strongly suggest to go for a full size or TKL but no smaller.

You are right.
For my case, I majorly work on a laptop whose keyboard in an essence resemble 75% . I'm hoping an easy shift vis-a-vis layout.
The RK84 is a great keyboard, for the price. I use the browns.

Look into AULA F87 & F75 series.
Thanks . Will go through the details. Also considering Ajazz ak820 pro .

Would you suggest I spend more and buy SCS Bridge 75 as first MK; Or will Aula F75 be more than sufficient for my needs?

This has a gotcha. No 'Home' key. Which is super annoying for me.

I think in mech keyboard world, keys can be adjusted according to our preference. Any decent keyboard has ways/firmware for this.

The irritating key placements are generally not adjustable this way. Because they are in locations where there is no key at all in the standard layout. Firmware can't create new key locations.

you can find second hand RK100s for 3-3.5k in the IMKC discord, most peeps there take care of their shit and and mech keebs practically last forever so you can actually buy one there

You can remap all keys if the PCB supports QMK/VIA but most boards in this price range don't come with that, so can't be changed yeah.

Remap is not the issue here; muscle memory where you're expecting some key to be (NOT a particular key, just A physical key that you can remap) is not there, and some place you expect to be find nothing at all has a key.
