Query related to change in Passport Office

Guys, quick query.
My last passport was issued at Rajasthan since I was residing in that state at that time. The passport is expired (around 6 months before). Now I want to apply for re-issue as I have currently residing in Mumbai but I am getting following message that my userID is tied up with Jaipur RPO and I need to go there only.
I called password helpline and they are telling me to create new user ID and then apply from there.

My only concern is whether it is fine to create multiple user ID or this will be flagged somwhere ?

Creating a new id is not an issue, they will have all records including your previous applications. I have shifted cities/states and was able to apply in the new PSK without issues.

@honest1 if i am reading the text correctly it only says you will not be able to change the office AFTER you save the application... just try filling application all the way including selecting your current preferred office location and see if it allows you? i guess you dont need to create new ID...

Since I had previous applications processed under this ID, its not allowing me to change the office.

Guys, I went for passport renewal today as my existing passport was expired and there was address change as well. All went well and got the update as "Police Verification has been initiated on Post PV basis".
Also, now its coming that the passport has been dispatched.
So how this will work? Will I receive the passport in next couple of days ? If yes, what about PV ?

I too renewed my passport with an address cum physical city change but no police verification happened and also my process was completed under 5 mins at the PP office.

Now PV to be done.

PV is done before Passport is recieved.
Once you have received . There is no PV. Atleast in my case I was called to Police station before and they asked for usual verification IDs and school certificate and in very tactful way ask to pay something.
They were looking at my Phone and all( for people with Iphone and all were being expected to pay more in indirect way)

For me also, I changed address, added spouse name. Same state, although different PSK. Appointment was Thursday, received passport Saturday morning (not tatkaal, normal appointment).
Received call for Police Verification on next Monday. This was in Pune.

So PV isn't always before your receive the passport.

Okay.
Maybe it is different for different place or maybe it was different some years ago...I got my passport around 2017.

For tatkal they are definitely going to ask money. they know you are in urgent situation. They did to my relative directly. She was moving abroad and had a very short time to fly.
Her passport had expired and she wanted urgent.

Tatkaal appointment fees themselves are higher (around 3X). That is for appointment, not sure about if they ask bribe at PSK. They didn't ask for my father. (2018).
My experience stated above was this year March.

PV post passport receipt? Its actually the reverse!
Not in Pune! At least for minor field updates recently

Yes, this has been done now for least risk cases. They give the passport and ask to complete the PV in 3 weeks or so.
least yeast kuch nahi bro......many people are lining up to leave India or atleast get their passport done . You will be surprised to see the number of applicants in passport office these days... they are overburdened with the number so they prefer to leave it to people to come and verify quickly.
It reduces their time also.
