Hello

Want to buy a good quality charger that can charge

Laptop
Mobile
Tablet
Etc

There are lots of options with mixed reviews
I have two laptop Acer with very tiny DC jack and HP with type c
Micromax, Vivo, poco mobile
Lenovo tablet

Suggest good charger

Following this thread. Even i am recently wondering about similar use case.

I think you should also mention the wattage requirement of the laptops.

I guess the GAN charges work well, but I have never used it. Also you will have to check how are the thermals of these charges on long run and the port converters for your lappy.

HP x360 65 watt type c
Acer aspire 5 90.4 watt with original barrel jack charger, but it support usb c PD

Android phone lots of with slow and fast charging option

looking for a good quality Charger with PD or PPS support
to charge Acer, HP, Leonov laptop and tablet and mobile

also need a good quality cable also ,

since many of forum member must have bought cable, charger etc please share your review for long term use thanks

I would not recommend a high power charger for mobile phones. I had two pixel phones blow up their motherboards due to some damaged pins and they got more power/voltage than they could handle.

I bought a Stuffcool 65W GaN charger in Jan 2023. I've used it to charge Samsungs, Pixels, a bunch of Acer and Lenovo laptops. Heck it even managed fine when connected to my Legion 5 Pro when not using the dGPU.

It gets very hot when pulling sustained 65w like when I use it with the Legion sometimes. Otherwise it's cool.

At the time of purchase, there were not many alternatives and certainly not at the price I got it for. Still working great.

Does it work with laptop ?? How is charging rate in laptop?
Yes it does. I use it with my legion 7. It works good, Obviously it can’t charge fast but gets work done when using it for browsing or when travelling. i would suggest get a 100w charger so that you have some space for charging your phone at the same time.

Yes thanks

65w seems like minimum for laptop and maximum limit ofcharger

Even I am thinking to get at least 100w charger so it has some room for other items and charger is not pushed to limit

I guess 100w will have proper cooling and more safety features
But 100w gan charger is very very costly...

Companies are using GAN name to make big profit on charger... But highly doubt their quality... Like good MOSFET, capacitor, circuit board... Hardly any company worry about charger

You've mentioned your requirements but haven't provided your budget. If you need an adapter for portability, consider - Apple 130W USB-C adapter

For the past 6 months, I've only been using this charger exclusively for all my devices(work laptop, asus g-14, earbuds, RPI4, phone) and had no issues with them.

If it exceeds your budget and you need more than 65w of power, consider Apple 97w charger.

Before using apple adapters, I used HP TPN-LA22 USB C charger which did work great but was limited to only 65w.

Note: Nothing can go wrong on your USB C devices when charged with an PD compliant adaptors from reputable brands(Samsung, Asus, Dell, HP, Apple etc.,)

I use anker, baseus, spigen ones.

usb c pd should negotiate rates, mostly I stick to 65w ones as 100 w is overkill.
In india I got the Spigen ones at 70w and they are slightly bulky but decent. Prices have shot up last 2 years. Dont Skimp on these if you use this to work across devices.

best is to import them from abroad since for most of the India ones conk off in 6months to 1 year and ratings dive.
My Oldest GAN charger is over 4 yrs old and going strong.

Devices used - macbooks, hp latops, apple phones pixel, etc etc

Can't we use higher watt charger like 100w or more with phone and 65w laptop ..

The laptop andovile will only draw what is required right ???

It will not harm the laptop or mobile
