Looking for a 4G/5G Travel Router (WiFi/MiFi)

There is Acer Connect Enduro M3 that supports 5G with WiFi 6 hotspot and with recent firmware update, Jio 5G also works. Seems to be a good product but it is on expensive side around INR 15.5k. It's available on Amazon India website

If want to spend 15k then buy a Techno mobile of less than 10k which has Battery bypass function & use as Hotspot

To be fair, you are not going to get WiFi 6 2x2 from a cheap Tecno phone and the untethered battery life from the Acer Connect will definitely be better. If 5G hotspot usage is a priority, then a dedicated device still makes sense.

If one has the money why not but Mota bhai will soon stop 5G UL with Airtel following
But right now it's too expensive at 15k

That's the main reason for buying a phone
If one tends to run cyber cafe then it's different but for a Single user on 24x7 download it's adequate

I have a Tecno Camon 20 Pro 5G. Don't see the option to manually bypass charging. Does this feature really work? If this feature really work then it should be mandated by the Govt. It will help users who are most of the time plugged in to a power source like me.

I have same , Add google photos to Bypass battery Apps , Now Google photo needs to be open to enable bypass when charger connected
Its OLED screen , download black wallpaper , open it and leave it .
You have achieved bypass . When i was using this ,didn't have to even touch the mobile for a week
But shittiest camera even after being 64MP

Baki Sarkari decision is not in my hands so .....If government would have had taken steps at correct time then we would not be in sorry state we are now

Unfortunately, Samsung is the only one which implemented it universally several generations ago. Others have made it a gaming feature, where you have it conditionally activated for specific apps that need to be running actively. Then there are others that simply start/stop charging at specific percentages and don't actually directly draw from the power supply.

Unfortunately, no one apart from EU has shown any common sense in implementing pro-consumer features. It is a bit of a shame considering my Windows tablet from a decade ago has been running with the battery removed for the past 6-7 years, so it seems to be setup this way only to have the battery degrade as part of planned obsolesence.

It is no doubt expensive but few months ago, you had to setup a modem with a M.2 to USB board at much higher cost. With such options entering the mass market and 5G modem prices dropping, it will become more mainstream. But even now, for 14k, you get the benefits of a better modem, better WiFi and battery life.

I've set a pure black wallpaper as my background to save battery (current life is good). It's nice to see WhatsApp will soon have a pure black theme as well. https://www.sammobile.com/news/whatsapp-amoled-black-theme-android-leak/

Nice workaround. I need this for my tablet but no such feature there.

I got two devices (one for myself and other for my mom) for 8K each after all discounts and exchange. With a 7L Antutu score, it's quick for all tasks. I don't use the camera, so it turned out to be a great deal for me.

But what will be the resale value of such a product? A cheap sub-10K 5g mobile can easily retain 50% of its value even after 3 years of use.

That is the samsung use case. Gaming mode only AFAICT with the S23.

Bypass is only for gaming mode on Samsung and mot any other apps which is a pity.

Why not this....

That is just the housing, you need to purchase the 5G M2 module separately and fit in that.
