I am not sure about this. I wanted to initially sign up for prime but after looking at the movies that I wanted to watch were available on rent, I noped out and only took the shipping edition.
Blue keychain? Even i got that years back. You can't downgrade a plan. So cancel the plan 1-2 days before it renews and then wait a a few days to get the 399 plan.
You don't have to cancel it just 2-3 days before and wait for 1-2 days to renew it.
If you do now your benefits will remain till the date of expiry.
And at same time Amazon gives you option to renew with downgrade plan.
They will not let you go easily . Keep throwing options at you.
They even offered me Rs 100 discount on renewing for rs 1399.

My order has been stuck at destination city since 2 days and they are saying that it will take 2 more days. Even talked to the delivery agent and he informed me that he found my package but his superior refused to send it out for delivery earlier than estimated delivery date.
It truly baffles me that we can't rely on either flipkart or amazon.

you all prime members are already paid them in advance, so your money is already in AZ pocket, now they will ship FIRST to COD order with EXTRA charges for Fast/next day delivery.
i was also in that impression. Actually not that great if you compare with other platform.
for example get the amazn and HBO version of penguin, play it in the same setting, day and night difference in audio and video. hbo is far superior audio quality.
hotstar back in time, the quality was super meh.. but to my surprise in last 2-3 years they improved their quality very much.
if they fix their super slugging UI it has lot of potential.

My subscription is due for renewal next month. Do I need to cancel it or should I allow it to lapse and they'll offer me a downgraded plan later on??
Even I am thinking the monetary wise, it's making no sense to pay ₹1399 and yet have to rent out movies, wait for a week in tne name of prime membership and quick delivery. Seems like the time has finally come to kick yne bucket.
At my end it shows monthly 299 and yearly 1499 plans.

Link spotify in alexa app and make it default for music. Amazon music is not part of Prime Lite or Shopping.

All the OTT services seem to be trying to milk paying subscribers even more. I've ditched pretty much all of them and just use Stremio now. Much more peace of mind.

Subscriptions don't lapse. Your CC is automatically debited the 1499 amount on due date. You need to cancel it if you don't want it.
Even I cancelled because I usually get stuff in 4-5 days instead of 1-2 days. No sense in having to pay 1499 if its slow delivery and not prime delivery.
I read on the Prime page that it's only for some members.

I've already tried that, but I'm still getting the same issue.
Even after setting JioSaavn or Spotify as the default, Alexa often says it can't play songs or that I need to be a Prime member
The more frustrating part is, whether a prime member or not, we keep getting ads whenever a song is asked to play.

I moved to only the shopping plan at the beginning of the year. Not sure if there is anything special about it, as it was always accessible using a common link. But I purchase a lot of small ticket items and generally return half of the things I purchase as not all the items stick, which wouldn't be possible with other services, so the shopping edition seems worth it to me.
Never missed any video service as I have all the *arr servers setup at home and it is a matter of just entering the name of a show. YouTube Premium under group sharing takes care of music streaming for a cheap price.
