Sanskrit is not just dev vaani (language of gods), but also a scientific language that can be applied to modern fields like computer science and artificial intelligence,

Read in detail here:

I needed to learn an Indian language back in school as part of the ICSE syllabus and Sanskrit was the easiest one to grasp. I had an exceptionally gifted tutor from Bihar, probably the only teacher I ever liked.

Every time I stub my toe I go through the Sanskrit vowels and for a brief moment, it dulls pain and brings back fond memories of bunking tuition as a teenager.

Will actually prefer Sanskrit imposed all over India instead of Hindi, so that everyone equally suffers.;)

Same here but all I can recall is that it was a pretty scoring subject !
ditto, took sanskrit instead of hindi.
But my teacher was a super highly educated scholar,, a gem of a person and most liked teacher in the school.

Very unfortunate time.
The reason of this entire activity is never meant to promote or keeping Sanskrit alive and flourishing... instead making a joke of it.

Still remember rattofying before the exams ..

माला माले मालाः ... प्रथमा
मालाम् माले मालाः.... द्वितीया

Bring a scheme on paper, allot budget, steal budget, easy profit...

I guess it's time to replace Java with Sanskrit, and yup I was in ICSE too and Sanskrit was fun though my teacher used to have literally no interest in teaching us the language. Thankfully, my dad taught me enough to survive in school.

It's a submarine way of introducing religious politics, in my books.
Language can definitely used for good purposes, but that is not how it's going to end.
Damn sure everyone know that.
Completely agreed, Sanskrit would act as another tool to make things even worse. It's so sad to see all this happening.

I think it'd be better for everyone if we had one language. I don't care if it's south indian or north indian as long as we all speak the same one.

That language is the one in which we are communicating now.
Can be done better by everyone in India that we can communicate with almost everyone in the world similarly.

Yeah, if the efforts dedicated are equal too.

I meant one like Japan has Japanese or France has French. One language that we can call our native and everyone in India understands it.

The British pretty much made sure it was going to be English, that's a part of our history that's not shared by France or Japan.

Nearly every place colonised by them speaks English or prefers to speak English or consider it an 'upper class' trait to be able to speak English.

One language that we can call our native and everyone in India understands it.
That way I prefer Sanskrit as a unifying language which is more matured and structured language than new advent Hindi (which is used to deflect national attention than anything to do with unifying at all).
Every region have their own language, they can understand it very well if same dedication of Hindi is given to those.

I didn't study much Sanskrit growing up so i don't know if it'd be better or worse. I want one language because then there'd be one less thing for us to fight about.
