What if Trump wins vote today, he is chummy with Elon and take it up as a news piece to attack Indian business policies ? Voice against Indian tariff structure was there in his debates (this is relevant because there are rampant discussion about possible devaluation of US$ in one way or other).

However, there are technical difficulties with auctioning of satellite spectrum.
Most countries have gone with administrative allocation. Some tried auctioning then reverted to administrative allocation.
Whether auction happens or administrative allocation will depend on judicial scrutiny, and not on the government decision.

Unless you live in Lakshadweep or something I don't understand how this service changes anything. It's the pricier than the most expensive fiber plan you can get and comes with the reliability of DTH. Now during heavy rain your TV and Internet both won't work.
yes, jio laid fiber optics in almost nook and corners, focused in tier 2/3 cities, and then we have bsnl as well. plans hovering around 500rs. only.
the business strength of jio is their massive reach and the vast number of customers they have.
starlink seems to provide very week value proposition to me at this time, unless they can bring themselves to provide cheap services and simulate the tactics what TataSky did back in days.
But again Jio will ensure this doesn't happen... they can go very aggressive with airfiber.

These areas are those with low economic activity, not much money to be made there especially in a country like India. I can't think of any place today without cell towers. If the people there are willing and capable of paying for better internet, JIO/Airtel would have already put a tower there, or upgraded exisiting cell network there to 4g/5g.

I would refrain foreign players in Indian satellite internet business .They will kind of control the communication which is bad .US can indirectly fund it and get easy access. This stupidity has to be stopped.
