Gel fire toy gun

I had a chance to check out the XShot-HPG-700 over at Hamleys yesterday when in went to buy a toy for my friend's son's birthday and immediately fell in love with it. Although the gun was in its original packaging, I could feel the quality of the gun as well as the attention to detail. It does come at a hefty price tag of 9K and is not available in any online stores. so, naturally, FOMO has kicked in and I'm very inclined to buy it as soon as possible. Does any of you folks have any experience with the gel fire series from nerf or Xshot?
  • How accurate are these guns
  • does it pain when the gels are shot on the body
  • do they splash into liquid immediately on impact
  • do they cause any stain on clothes upon impact
Any advice is appreciated

I was wondering who is going to pick up the hundreds of pellets each time.

Otherwise how do replace the used pellets?

They are tiny balls soaked in water. Similar to tapioca balls. They just dry up and reduce in size if left to dry. Plus they anyway disintegrate on impact. Plan to buy one after a few years. You have to keep buying gel packs like grocery.

Are they similar to the silica gel balls used in shipping live plants?

If you have seen translucent gel like balls in boba tea, that's made of tapioca, aka cassava.
Also reminds of sabudana (normally made from sago palm, but is also made from tapioca with potato starch sometimes).
Tapioca (south American root vegetable) is widely used in Kerala, don't know much about other places.

Off topic:
I have been researching for quite some time now to get a few of these to India. Sites like https://www.m416gelblaster.com/ only ship parts and not the whole gun. Even the prices are reasonable as well, some are semi-metal too.

One of my friend imported some parts (metal rail, laser/flashlight) from https://www.redwolfairsoft.com/ and they got delivered and the customs didn't flag them as well.
At those prices wouldn't paintball guns and a place to runaround be better?

Is paintball a thing in India

I'm not too sure about paintball in India—I’ve never tried it. But if we could use gel guns and have a battle like an Airsoft game, that would be pretty enjoyable! Especially these won't hurt as much as BBs or pellets.

Well you pay a small amount. They give you clothes the guns and paintballs and a place to run around. You don't have to own anything.

Surprised it hasn't taken off here. I'm talking about my experience abroad from years ago.

These gel guns are expensive for kids even in the west. And if they are not durable then its a waste. Some reviews were saying gun stopped working after a month better get something better.. Ie more expensive.

Paintballs do sting so you need face protection
