I own S23, so prefer Samsung. Also, their UI is much more polished.
MY requirements
  1. little lightroom use ( as and when I travel for pleasure - not a content creator ) and some basic video editing
  2. call of duty maybe once or twice every year
  3. expandable memory card
  4. screen size small
With these it turned out to be either S9FE/S9FE+/S9 (as per budget constraints)
S9FE- way underpowered, it seems. But not sure because I haven't used it myself. I am fine with the quality of display 20K
S9FE+- have used it and I do like it. But the screen size is big- not a deal breaker though. Don't know much about long term durability ( like 4 years ) 32K
S9- costly yes. But meets requirements. 48K

Do you guys think spilling 16K extra makes sense for great screen quality and better processor?

Well, If I were you, I would decide between S9FE and S9FE+ on only one parameter, that is my requirement of screen size. In my opinion the larger screen size is not worth the extra 12k, if I don't need the larger screen size badly. Also, for gaming S9FE+ will be more difficult to play COD on. So I'll decide for going with S9FE over S9FE+ and save the 12k. I'll get better performance due to lower screen resolution (due to smaller screen size) on S9FE, as they have same chipset.

Going with S9 is a personal option, based on your budget and requirements. The chipset on S9 (8Gen2), is atleast double the performance than Exynos 1380 inside S9FE & S9FE+. Screen is also much better on S9. I would suggest you to goto their store and have the feel of S9FE and S9 and then decide whether it is worth the extra money. Do let us know of your final decision and experience.
