Didn't know where to post this but it's excellent

There should be some auto service/app with Google/YouTube that can translate such interviews in local Indian languages too.
I think there are such services. I've seen some videos on youtube, where we can select audio language and it almost accurately translated audio into the chosen language. The surprising thing is, even the voice sounds closer to the original speaker's.

What we need, however, is the gist of the videos. I mean, at least to know if it's excellent or not, we shouldn’t have to watch almost half an hour of video only to feel like we wasted our time afterward.

Most people in who follow such videos and news with enthusiasm already may know English very well. Don't think anything of value will be lost in other scenarios.
Even otherwise, matters regarding macro-level international relations does not enthuse nor depend on base-level public whose primary interest may be on news about freebies and hand-outs provided by govt.

The other interesting point is he gave this interview to a right wing channel. Even though a left liberal government is ruling in Australia. You would think he'd give ABC the interview. For what?

This was the mistake Modi earlier made when visiting the US. He writes an op_ed article for the NYT which has been bashing him. He should have interacted with Fox News instead.

I'm familiar with the anchor and was excited when this interview showed up. Instantly knowing it would be good.

The suggestion that listening to the foreign minister could be a waste of time is laughable. Are you interested in the official view on contemporary affairs or not?

He has legions of fans online. You only have to see the comments section. An excellent pick for the post. Given who his dad was.

I remember his epic reply when asked at the Munich Security Forum why India was buying oil from Russia.

The world's problems are not Europe's problems but Europe's problems are the world's problems?

Boss line

Oh and this was his earlier interview in Australia that the Canadians didn't like

.. In life there will be challenges sometimes. You will have a few extremist people who will go and do something and it's important that they are checked...

Maybe that's what triggered it.

At a family gathering recently I refused to believe GOI was upto no good abroad unless presented with proof.

There are two groups who believe GOI is doing just that
- rightwingers who want to believe it
- the opposition who think the Interior minister has overstepped his bounds

That is we will conduct extra legal operations in friendly countries that even Israel would be hesitant to do. These days at least.

Yeah o_O

that's nice. india totally exposed the current Canadian government. Followed by Elon more recently. i would love to see when GOI responds to Rihanna and other celebrities on farm laws ,rafah etc .Extreme liberalism is threat. This is how you loose your freedom and credibility

Extreme liberalism is threat.
Happens in the absence of balanced conservatism (or whatever _ism that should matter) or sane liberalism, where were the local well studied, well quoted, eminent personalities (both from ruling and opposition parties) when the fiasco was happening?
Either they should've properly explained what it's all about to common Indians, but common man already knew one behemoth govt. preferred pvt corpn. already registered thousands of shell companies in procurement region. System slowly loses trust of common man because of system's innate issues which should have been handled with grace.
