damn, and all this time i thought it was made from natural rubber :O
I guess as time goes on and the cost of making natural stuff gets costlier and costlier, manufacturers will just replace the natural ingredients with artificial ones slyly.

Sadly, everything is being replaced with something artificial.

These chewing gums are also causing environmental damage.

"Traditional chewing gum was made from chicle, a natural latex derived from the sapodilla tree.
However, modern chewing gum is made from synthetic rubber, such as polyisobutylene, which is also used in the manufacture of inner tubes and other rubber products."

Disgusting thing should be banned along with chewing tobacco and betel nut leaves. All three are disgusting environment polluting substances. All three stick to shoes/sandals and all three smell disgusting. And all three dirty the place and are a huge eye sore.

Not just in India but in UK, ME, etc. also. Indians spread it wherever they go and causing disgust to others.

This is what "science" has done to food.

Here is some info about a pizza ingredient:

Also, the food industry's idea of 'natural' is very different from ours. The extraction of ingredients from 'natural' sources can involve some very 'artificial' processes.

"Pink slime" is slang for "ammonia-treated lean beef trimmings." It's an industrial food process by which edible meat parts that stick to the bone but can't be stripped by a knife are recovered by mechanical means and turned into a substance that can beef up burgers and plump up chicken products at lower cost.
McDonald's says it stopped using lean beef trimmings after 2011 and that its nuggets are made with white boneless meat... :)
